The way my final exam works, it is 20% of your second semester grade, making it 10% of the year grade. I got a 90.925 on the exam, my second semester grade is a 78.2, first is 76.9, and my year grade is a 77.6. If I put the exam in for 20% of the second semester grade and average the two semesters 50 50, then I get a 78.85 overall. However, if I put it in for my year grade, I get a 78.93. Is there some sort of error that I am not seeing? Why are the scores different?
Roger: You’re getting two different numbers because in each case, your first semester grade is worth a different percentage of your overall grade. In the first case, you’re saying that it’s worth 50%. But in the second case, you’re saying that it’s worth half of 90%, which is 45%. Based on your explanation, it sounds like the former approach is correct. Does that make sense?

Your calculator gives me so much peace of mind. I have a quiz tomorrow that I'm kinda worried about but hopefully I get lucky! If I score at least an 80 I can get an A in the class. Fingers crossed. I have a 86.4 in general in math right now and I need above 122.4 percent to get an overall A-. I got a 76 for the last midterms when I though I was going to do great. Now I think I'm going to do horrible so I'm probably going to get worse than that. I'll just suck it up. Pray for me.

when I select the "2+ part to my final". It asks how many points 1 part is, instead of how much percent its worth. Idk how to convert points to percentage. If you can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated :)
