here's the thing. that A or B you really want? will it really matter in 10 years? 20 years? no. do your best, but give yourself a break! sometimes, all you can do is your best and just trust that the rest will work out. here's one of my favorite quotes: "you have been assigned this mountain so you can show others it can be moved". you can succeed with or without the grade you're worried about :)

Hi Roger! I have an anatomy class in which my grade is split up with lab and lecture portions (Lab worth 25% and lecture 75% of final grade). I have completed 3/4 of the lecture tests and have one left, and have a 107% avg in lecture. I also have an 88.33% avg in the lab, and still, have several aspects of that grade to complete (the lab is weighted by practicals 60 %, notebook 10%, final 10%, participation 20%. The lowest practical is replaced by the grade on the final and the final also counts as the final. I still have one practical to go and my practical avg is 83% rn, my notebook avg 79% (I still have one to go, assume its 100%), and assume participation is 100% (My avg for it rn is 100% too)). Assume 107% is my final grade for the lecture. What is the lowest grade I can get on my remaining lab practical and final to get a 90% in the class?

To survive chem, do ALL the homework! Look up anything you don't understand or need more understanding with. ASK QUESTIONS. Use flashcards for equations. Find out what equations you will be given on your final and what subjects the final will be over so you can memorize any equation not given. Get a tutor or any kind of help you can. Ask for help when you need it and do not wait or you will be super behind. Actually read the textbook. It is useful. The most important things are to ask questions and practice. Do the homework, and work through things you don't understand. For the final, start studying AT LEAST a week before and flashcards and past homework are your best friends. Look over all previous chapters. It sounds daunting but if you split it up over time, preferably more than a week so you can go over previous homework, it really isn't as bad as I make it sound. AP chem is hard, although it really depends on your teacher. I had a brand spanking new teacher so I had to have a tutor and do all of this.

That’s because the impact of a particular test grade can depend on numbers that people don’t think about very much (like your test average or the percentage of your grade made up of empty categories). It all depends on how your overall grade is calculated and how your intermediate grades are reported.

Hey Roger! Just this Monday I studied for 5 hours prior to not knowing anything in the unit for AP Bio.

I got a 94% with 2 points extra credit! Isn't that great?
For anyone still studying reading this, no I didn't enjoy studying for 5 hours straight until 1 am and no I don't recommend you do it either.

But if you're in this situation now, I'm cheering you on in my part of the world right now! You can do it!!
