I need to take another test (final) in the second part of the course. This is worth approximately 50% of part 2's grade. The methodology of determining the final grade is a mean of the final two scores I receive in both parts. Does that mean my last test is worth 25% of my total grade since it is worth ~~ 50% of my part 2 grade? Thank you in advance!
Roger: Well, technically yes. But since your final is worth half of your second part’s grade, your current grade (93%) only really counts for 25% of your overall grade. So, your current overall grade should be (90.96% × 50% + 93% × 25%) / (50% + 25%), which is 91.64% (not 91.98%, as it would otherwise be).
