i needed a 60% on my math final to end with a B and i just took the test today and before i was like "oh im chillin its all good" but now its not all good. i understood 5% of that test. this is not good. my mom is gonna beat my pass. A "C" in a regular math class? not honors or anything? jesus. take me. the world is so harsh. why can't i be one of those weirdos with 5.9 GPAs and negative seven friends? all to get into a decent college. Im going to SMC. im going to the local community college and not transferring to a UC school. im so stupid.

Please don't take finals too seriously. They are important, yes, but your mental health is way more important. Don't pull an all-nighter just to keep a 94% in chemistry class when you aren't even going into a career that uses chemistry at all. Try hard, and study, but don't destroy your mental health in the process. The most important thing is that you understand what you learned, because then school is doing its job. A few of you may have done enough to survive. But at what cost? You have sold weeks of your time. Your social life. Your happiness. Your soul. The joy in your life has been stolen from you, just to allow you to move onto new, even more soul-crushing, dream destroying circumstances. Will you survive those? The chances are so slim, so few.
