So my overall grade in my chemistry class is a 90% and when i went back my teacher told me that my overall grade now is a 84%.what i want to know is what the grade i got on my exam for my overall to be changed to an 84%

Hmm... so a bit of moral character is an "attempt to cover up your base intellectual capabilities"? I wonder how that works. You may have the grades, but you don't have the Behavior Sweetheart! I remember they taught us that in Kindergarten, so instead of explaining the simplicity of subjects like Algebra 1 & 2 , why don't you re-visit Elementary and then learn to behave? I was the trucking Val of my Class, and now I'm a Freshman in MIT.. and my Guy, let me tell that if you want a successful career, you've gotta have some Manners and Patience. You don't seem to have either of those qualities, so I recommend some hardcore therapy.. from a Preschool Teacher. Even if you're the Val, you still have the same sort of Application and Acceptance Procedures as everyone else, so don't feel very special. Personally speaking, you don't seem like securing a spot anywhere near the Top 50%, so don't stress about Val :) Now I would try to understand things from your perspective- but I don't have my head shoved that far up my pass. Oh and to those of you that are struggling, Try and Try again. it won't be easy but just get help if you need it and make SURE you understand everything before an exam..

At least you are shamefully accepting your incompetence in academics. Yes, if it is a high school class, this will have some sort of consequences on your admission to a relatively competitive university such as UCLA. You now need to become smarter. It is what it is, and there is no way to mollify this. You need to improve, because Algebra 1 or Algebra 2 (whichever course you just failed) is very, very simple. If you hope for UCLA to accept you, you need to show clear strides over the next few years. Do not waste time over the winter break. Start now! Study mathematics and become an expert. No excuses if you keep getting B plus grades. Strive for A+, always.

high school is all that matters and you can still get in with Bs.

thanks to rogerhub I kept all my grades afloat and some of my grades even went up.... and I was encouraged after seeing all the positive messages posted here. it's great to know that other students are suffering and just as stressed as I am, haha

a B+ in algebra in 8th grade! good for you! this won't hurt your chances at all, in my opinion. UCLA is still definitely an option for you! don't be upset, in highschool there are a lot of really hard classes and really, a couple B's in even highschool is fine.

I got a B+ ending algebra in 8th grade, is there anyone in college who could tell me if this will affect my chances of getting into a good college, I want to get into UCLA. Thank you!

I literally got dragged today

This is 8.662.889-X3vD47 with a code 9-4A. I've got a kid who has been on Roger Hub for the past eleven hours, seemingly contemplating how he failed his math class.

Then again, he appears to be a suspicious individual because of his tendency to shoot things he doesn't like (i.e. his PC because he sucks at 'Fortnite').

Before the final, I had an 88.87, and i got a 93.5 on the final.
I ended up getting an 89.81 in the class, 0.19% from an A.

Fortunately she's rounding it up. God bless her heart

I need some advice and help, so right now my class mark is 51 for math I have 3 more chapter tests before exams and I was curious to know how much one test percentage wise is normally worth. lets assume I got a 90 on the next three tests and 80 on my final exam, how much can that 51 be boosted to the most? please help me outtttt

Roger: How many chapter tests have you completed so far? You could make a guess based on that. For example, if you already took 7 chapter tests and you have 3 left, then you could guess that they’re worth 5% of your grade each, for a total of 50%.

2nd midterm=28% of final grade
Final =44%
《1st M.T=44%
《2nd M.T=62%
《Final Exam= not sure what I got
Can you show me the calculations of how i need to add these all up to get my final % in the course?

In general, you can figure out your overall grade by multiplying each of your grades by how much it’s worth, and then add it all up. For example, if you scored 70% on your final, then you could do 44% × 28% + 62% × 28% + 70% × 44%.
