Hi y'all this is oddly cathartic to write this.
I'm finishing my first year of college this week. As I stated below I have a ton of paper due. I've been using Rogerhub since freshman year of highschool. I'm a very anxious person and I'm struggling so hard to keep my As. I do fine on papers usually though lately I've been going through one of my worse mixed episodes. They're due in a few days and theres also a giant final test that I haven't studied for on Saturday. Roger's calculator has given me hope that I will be ok. I must hope that I am able to pass my classes with As in order to maintain an honors GPA. I know that grades really should not matter but for grad school and an honors thesis unfortunatly they must. I hope each of you does well in your finals. I really appreciate this site and I love coming here to read the comments every finals season.

I have the biggest final of my life coming up on weds and I'm so trucked. Please I do not want to fail this class, I just need to pass that is all I want. Please pray for me.

I wonder if this will all be worth it in the end...

The fretting. The judging. The stress.

Or does any of this matter? A test can't possibly define the value of a 3-dimensional human being in the workforce. Maybe schools should teach us how to be better human beings rather than overly stressed adolescents wasting their youth down the drain by spending more time studying trivial facts rather than learning how the world works outside of classrooms in order to succeed. We work in an attempt to find careers that will somehow fulfill something within us, and to enable us to achieve prosperity. But, at a certain point, have material things ever made any of us truly happy for long in the past? Why would they do so upon reaching adulthood? Why must we strive to jump through hoops like obedient little Labradors when we're all going to die at some point, and upon death, such goals will indubitably be judged as a waste of precious hours. What will we do with the remaining grains of sand spilling down the hourglass of life? Are we just the worker bees? Are we but members of a hive mind, and any sense of individuality ingrained into our souls just minor flourishes to simply help specialize which roles we will one day assume until we either retire or, for most people, die working?

But maybe there is a reason behind all of this. Maybe the machine is neither good nor evil, but a product of man's handiwork, and we are but the cogs and the coils.

Or...I could just study.

Have a ten-page term paper due tomorrow. Haven't started. Just need a 75% to make an A in the class, thank God. Word to the wise: turn something in for EVERY. SINGLE. ASSIGNMENT. TAKE. EVERY. TEST. SHOW UP TO CLASS! If you do those things - even if you don't study and you're pretty stupid - you can almost always pull a C, even in Uni. If you aren't stupid and you study just a little, you can almost always pull a B, even if you're crappy at the subject. Keep going.

Welp, not me checking what I can get on my test to still have an A instead of actually studying... Good luck y'all ;)
