Lol
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 05:39:03 GMT

@asian kid from idgaf. Just stop, while grades and intelligence help to be successful, being like-able also helps. You have successfully basically made everyone despise you. Also, going to a good college does not mean you will be successful. You will probably get to Stanford but will fall short of all your dreams because everyone that knows you thinks you are a pretentious prick.

Oh please
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 05:25:47 GMT

Everyone, I hope you all do great on your finals! Good luck to all :D
YOU CAN DO THIS!! 화이팅! 加油! I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Also, don't worry too much about @asian kid from dougherty because i'm pretty sure he/she is just a kid seeking attention.

Hey Roger, can you please do something about asian kid from dougherty? I think he's making a big mess here and is just escalating problems. He's also making others feel bad on your website. Thank you.

Bruh you are so sus. You literally copy/pasted what that other guy said. Not even trying to hide it LOL. I guess that's what happens when you're desperate.

Work hard for what you want because it won't come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive.

@asian kid from dougherty

Look, if you are feeling bad about what people are saying to you, think about why they are saying about it in the first place. They are not trying to crush your dreams. Nobody ever said: I hope you never go to Stanford. No. One person just said that it is unlikely with your GPA and provided examples, which is actually pretty helpful to go by. You need to understand that what you're doing (boasting about your achievements) is going to hurt others. If you don't like what they are saying, then think about how you affect others when you say that they only wish that they can "be like you." You need to actually read their constructive criticism and understand it. I'm going to be honest here; if you continue to not, then you will just come off as ignorant. Sorry, but it's true.

@asian kid from dougherty

What debate do you even do? Because the way you argue on this website doesn't make any sense at all.

Don't blow it, they say
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 04:37:49 GMT

Procrastination was the death of me for this year....but at least I might get a 3.16 GPA RIGHT?

Oh please
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 04:37:01 GMT

@asian kid from dougherty
The fact that you commented " you know that you will never be like me and instead struggle in geometry, a class I took in sixth grade, while I'm taking ap calc bc as a sophomore.
beat that" just shows the fact that you still don't understand.

The reason I said that I also struggle in math to @wtftheone that got a 73 is in hope to raise his/her spirits, the opposite of what you are doing. It's not helpful to make those who feel bad about their grades make them feel even worse.

Please keep your bragging and comments to yourself.

Oh please

@asian kid from dougherty
I admit that this argument has gone a bit out of hand.

I just want to clear this up though:
-nobody said they wanted to be like you
-nobody said they were jealous

It's great that you're not going to give up and have a dream you're striving to!
However that still doesn't answer the fact that you brag about your grades. I'm not going to apologize for you getting mad because you still don't understand why this all started.

@asian kid from dougherty
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 04:29:13 GMT

Woah, woah, woah, calm down dude. It's cool you think you have all of these achievements but I think you're missing what they're trying to say. They're saying you should be humble about it and you kind of just escalated things and started bashing on people. That's what the issue is.

Oh please
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 04:22:02 GMT

Ohh aww no problem!! I just hope everyone does their best on finals! :D

Also, don't compare yourself to other because everyone is different. Just concentrate on yourself!
Good Luck to all! After you're done I hope you take a nice relaxing break~

you guys are really making me mad. I completely understand that a 4.6 is not that special for sophomore year. But you have to take into account the classes my school offers. sophmores can max take 4 weighed and I had to skip levels in Spanish and math and science to get to that point. I am ranked #1 in my class. you guys are just jealous of me. you know that you will never be like me and instead struggle in geometry, a class I took in sixth grade, while I'm taking ap calc bc as a sophomore.
beat that
And to all who say I cant get into Stanford: In addition to my perfect grades, I started a nonprofit in my local community(for college apps of course), have my own website, first place in national debate championship, and the list could go on and on. Stanford just dosent care about grades. a 5.0 gpa and a 2400 is great, but youre not going to get in unless you have amazing extracurriculuars. I know what it takes to get into Stanford, by 3 siblings have done it and so will I. I find it extremely sad that the people on here just try to belittle other people by saying they cant go to their dream colleges. I know I will. there is no doubt. if I really want something in life, I will get it. I am going to be a world class doctor and cure cancer.

@Oh please

It's for AP World History (and thank you!). I have never taken an AP class before and is my very first which was why I was wondering. I am so used to being an all A student that this really new to me and it's been a REAL journey. It was my finals that got me too, I was holding on @ a 91 and now it sort of all feels like I did all this work just to have a B put onto my transcript.

The Truth
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 03:32:56 GMT

@asiankidfromdougherty
Hate to break it to you, kid, but maybe this is for your own benefit seeing that your ego definitely needs to go wayyyyy down. One, 4.6 GPA is not special for sophomores AT ALL. Two, at this rate you won't get accepted into Stanford. How do I know this? I have a friend who has a 5.0 (no kidding, congrats to her) and was excited that she got accepted. That means even with her super high GPA she was still shocked she got in. Heck, even my own grandfather got accepted to Stanford and his GPA was yet, another 5.0. Before any of you think I'm bragging, these are just people I know, not me. I am happy for the both of them, but the main reason why was because they are good people who were extremely humble about their achievements. Three, once you realize you're not nearly as great as you seem, you won't have peace since you are a terrible person who wishes misfortune on others for your own selfish benefit and can therefore never find solace in anything but yourself.
I swear, if I ever wanted to kill myself because of finals, I would jump off your ego all the way down to your IQ.

@asian kid from dougherty
Lmao, are you sure you're doing good in English class? Because you seem to keep missing the point.

Let me just restate it, THE MAIN POINT of the argument is that you shouldn't brag about your grades. Honestly I think you're just a stupid little kid who needs to see the real world. Grades don't mean anything if you're fucking stuck up prick. You can't be contempt in life just by having good grades. I'm contempt just by help others in need even though I don't have straight A's.

Also, please don't bring up being Asian and having small eyes because I DO NOT want to be lumped up with you. Your attempt to back yourself up by using other names is kind of pathetic.

i will find you

@asian kid from dougherty
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 02:59:07 GMT

You're proud your Asian because you're smart? I'm really proud of being Asian because I come a very highly diverse and enriched culture, not because what I get from school. Also, don't be derogatory and say that all Asians have small eyes and because of that, they must focus on school much more than a person that has bigger eyes. This is completely stupid. Stop promoting the negative stereotypes that we Asians already must face.

@asian kid from dougherty
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 02:53:42 GMT

Lol not really. I had a 4.5 gpa freshman year and there were ppl who had 4.6 too as a freshman in my school. It's not that special tbh because there's really a lot of people that have that gpa. The only difference is that they're not boasting about it (which again tbh a 4.6 really isn't something worth boasting about, even if you're a sophomore).

asian kid from dougherty
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 02:47:29 GMT

a 4.6 gpa for a sophomore is pretty good tho. and I'm a sophomore. I am Asian. DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHY ASIANS ARE NATURALLY SMARTER? ASIANS ARE BORN WITH SMALL EYES. HENCE, THEY HAVE TO FOCUS INTENSLY ON EVERYTHING THEY DO BECAUSE THEY SEE LESS AND HAVE TO FOCUS MORE. BECAUSE THEY FOCUS MORE. THEY ARE SMARTER. #PROUDASAIN #YALLWISHYOUWEREME #STANFORDBOUD #HARVARDBOUND #EXCUSETHETYPOS

NOW IM GOING BACK TO STUDY FOR MY AP PHYSICS C EXAM

why are people struggling
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 02:43:19 GMT

yall peeps are jealous of my smartness. u wish you could be the Asian straight A perfect student from Dougherty. And I'm not trying to put anyone down. I am naturally very competitive because all 3 of my older siblings got into Stanford so I like to come to this site because it feels good that all the people out here are struggling while I have a 4.6 gpa so its encouraging to know my competition is less. Stanford is very competitive. While people may say that its not only grades, the people who get into ives are the ones with almost perfect SAT scores and straight A's, taking the most challenging courses offered to them. And extracurriculars is like the icing on a cake. You guys say that a person needs to be well rounded. I agree, but the extracurriculars most students do are "average" like sports teams, instruments, etc. Like you need to do something extraordinary and special. Donn't make yourself feel better by thinking that your ("so called') extracurriculars can make up for your bad grades. Please excuse the horrific typos I'm trying this in a rush because I need to get back to applying for scholarships and studying for my AP Physics exam on Monday.

@asian kid from dougherty
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 02:39:01 GMT

HAHAHA, you make me laugh. So you're busy studying, huh? If you were, you wouldn't even be paying attention to this conversation at all! You are so warped up. NOBODY has taken your side and has said pretty intelligent stuff that far outweighs anything you've contributed, Mr. Omg-I-have-a-4.6. Lol, 4.6 isn't even that good to be bragging about it THAT much. Not impressed.

The Big Picture
Mon, 11 Jan 2016 02:29:40 GMT

The people who have participated in this discussion have never disclosed their grades, but as @AsianKid has speculated, they probably have grades that are up to your standards. The point is that they don't actually say it to make others feel down. You failed to intellectually engage in discourse on multiple occasions, so even if Stanford accepts you, good luck there and beyond your protective bubble of school because kid, you'll need it. Again, you brought up being Asian, which you have failed to respond to (just like every other argument actually) yet CONTINUE to use that as an "advantage." This level of ignorance, arrogance, and (sorry to say this bluntly) stupidity is beyond me. You are quite frankly a perfect example of how grades do not accurately portray one's intelligence. If you were really competitive, you wouldn't have to compare yourself to others less fortunate because you would be competing with the top, but if that makes you feel better you are truly a terrible human being. Before you say I probably have bad grades, this isn't about what letters I have on some computer; it's about something much bigger than that.

On another note, to those of you who have supported us (or even did not but still had an open mind), thank you.
