I have a 81.02 in science, and I forget a to do an essay. So if I have 81.02 now and the highest she will let me make is a 60/120 what will my new grade be?
Roger: So, you’re going to turn in your essay late, but you can’t get more than 60/120 points. The answer really depends on how many points you have total. Can you provide that number?

I need to know my science grade currently and what I need on the final to get a B, C, or D in the class.
I have 5 exams all together worth 55%, so each is worth 11% on my grade. On the first exam I got a 60, the second an 85, the third a 55, the fourth a 66, and the fifth a 89.9
Then I have daily assignment grades which are 15% overall, so for five units 3% each. And I have and will get complete full points on those for the five units. So full points in this section.
Then I have 3 long term papers that constitute 7.5% of my course grade. I have turned in 2 LTO's and have received full credit for both. The last is not due yet, but let's assume for this I get full credit for it.
Then I have 3 control experiment papers that constitute 7.5% and have gotten full credit on all of them.
Then he says 5% for "professionalism". Lets assume I get a 3% overall on that.
Then I have a comprehensive final exam worth 10% of my grade that I have not taken.
I am wondering if you can tell me three things. My current score in the class with everything I have so far and assumed. What I need on the comprehensive final exam to have a B, C, or D in the course overall. With a D being 60-69% and a C being 70-79% and a B being 80-89%
Thank you for your help.
Roger: Your current grade is an 80.2%. (Why did you assume you’re getting a 3/5 in professionalism? If you got a 5/5, then your current grade would go up to a 82.4%.) Anyway, you’ll need to get at least a 58.5% on the final to get a 80% overall. You’ll need to get a -41.5 (that’s negative) on the final to get a 70% overall. There’s no way you’ll get a D. Although you didn’t ask about getting an A, you should know that you need at least a 158.5% to get a 90% overall.

I have a 86.14% in my test grade and it is worth 45% of my grade and i have a 98.4 in my homework grade and that is worth 20% of my grade... what would my semester grade be?
Roger: Your percentages only add up to 65%. I’ll assume that the remaining 35% is some other empty category that you didn’t mention, like a Final Exam category. If so, then your current overall grade is a 89.91%.

Hello,
I'm very upset with myself I have 3.7 gpa and now I feel like I'm going to fail math?
40% is tests I have a 82%
20% is homework I have a 98%
40% is midterm which I got a 24%? and haven't got to take the final yet. The midterm and final combined as 40% together.
What's my score and what would it be if I got 100% on the final.
Thanks!
Roger: I’ll assume that your midterm and your final are each worth half of that “40%” section. If so, then your current grade is a 71.5%. If you got a 100% on the final, then your grade would increase to a 77.2%.

Midterm i got a 67%, 1st essay i received a 72%, oral presentation 88%, Quizzes 66%.
Midterm exam 20%
final exam 20%
Essays (2) 40%
Oral pres. 10%
Quizzes 10%
I really need 80%, what would i need to get on the two remaining grades and is it possible?
Roger: Your current grade is a 72%. In order to get an 80% overall, you’ll need to average at least a 92% on the 2nd essay and the final exam. Good luck!

Hey. So, I have an 82 in my world history class, and I need at least an 80 to be able to exempt my final. I have a 100 in homework (weight 20%), 78 in tests (30% - only one test grade in there), a 70 in quizzes (20%), and another section with no grades that is worth 30%. I have a test coming up in a few days and I want to know what the lowest grade I can get on it so that my grade stays above an 80% average. I tried to use this calculator to help, but seeing as it was for finals it didn't help much; this is just a regular test.
Roger: In order to maintain at least an 80% overall, you’ll need to have at least a 73.3% test average. Your current test average is a 78%, so if you get at least a 68.7% on the next test, you’ll be able to have a 80% overall and be exempt from your final (that’s awesome!)

Hey, i am an all A student and i recently got a 76 on a science quiz so I am TOTALLY freaking OUT. How many questions did I get wrong if the quiz had 30 questions and i received a 76%.
Roger: That sounds like you got a 23/30 (76.7%). It’s not exactly a 76%, but it’s pretty close. I assumed that each of your 30 questions was worth the same amount. If that’s not true, then this answer might not be correct.

Wow. I have a B in my Trig/Calc class right now and putting in the extra credit I will receive, I realized that with the drop, I will only have to get a B on the final! The unit I did poorly on, I missed because I was on vacation, but now I completely understand it and going into the final feel like I have a weight lifted off my chest. I was panicking and thought that there was no possible way that I would get an A, but now as long as I grind, I can punch it out. Thanks for the website. Don't use the comment section to complain about a class you're failing. That's your problem, not ours. The comment section should be for questions that can not be answered using the calculator..
