I have an 88 percent in my class with 25% of my grade as a zero. Is there any way to tell what I would have if that 25% was a 95?

Roger: Well, if you have an 88% in the class with 25% of your grade as a zero, your actual grade would be 117.33% (does this make sense? you may want to rethink what you’re saying). Continuing on, if a 25% of your grade became a 95, and you had a 117.33, then you would have a 111.74%.

i have a 91.75 and so far 2 parts of my final are in my overall final is worth 20% and the parts are split up 60% 40% 40% i have gotton 90%....1 for the 60% and 1 for one of the 40%...what do i need to get an 90.5 or higher

I have a 95 in my Spanish class right now and I want at least a 94. The final is 15% of our grade, out of that, 30% was our speaking final which is already graded. So I'm taking the 70% part of the final tomorrow, so what do I need to get to have a 94% or higher?

Roger: So, to figure this out, you basically just use the calculator twice. First, you put in [95, 94, 15] and get 88.33. Then you put in [Your Speaking Final Grade, 88.33, 70] and get some number that is what you need on the 70% part of the final. Make sense? It all depends on what you got on the speaking final, if you know that number already.

You should make an app because the smartphone page wont let you put decimals i.e.(90.3)

Roger: If you have an 80 and want to maintain it, you simply have to get an 80 or above. That is 47.2 questions.

I only need a 55% on my team sports final to get an A, but I have no idea what's gonna be on the exam, since all we do during class is play games.
As for the other final I have tomorrow, I guess I'm stuck with a B in Algebra because I don't think I'll get any better than a 110% or any worse than a 63%.

Roger: Your grade is an 85 and you want at least an 80? Well you would need a 47.9% on the rest of it, assuming that both parts are equal in weight.

I had a 79% in my class my final is worth 20% part of my final I got 33% and it lowered my grade to 71% what do I have to get on the other part of my final I order to keep a 70%!????

Roger: Well, you need to average a 34% on your 20% final. Right now, it makes the most sense that the 33% is counted as the whole 20%, but that would give you a overall grade of 69.8%, not a 71% like you mentioned, so I’m not sure what’s up with that. Either way, if you make another ~35%-ish on the rest of the final, you should maintain your grade. Make sense?

If I got an 100% on the final and right now my average is an 79% and my final is worth 20% what would my average be?

Roger: If you put in [93, 90, 10] into the calculator, you get 63%. Now, 63% of 56 is just 0.63 x 56 = 35.28 points. So you need at least 35.28 points on the final out of 56 total points.

our first nine weeks grade is 40% of our semester grade and my second nine weeks grade is worth 40%. That leaves my final of 20%. Why doesnt the calculator have a first nine weeks grade slot so that i can find my needed semester grade?

Roger: Well, because very few people have a grading system like yours. You take the average of the first 9 weeks and the second 9 weeks, and you get your current grade. It’s just (First 9 Weeks Grade + Second 9 Weeks Grade) divided by 2. Let me know if you need more help.

I just wanted to thank you for this AMAZING tool! Of course, I could do it on my calculator, but since I need to get the highest grade on my math final to get an a (although it's definitely not impossible) I decided to use this instead. It's absolutely wonderful that you take time out of your day to help other random people! This is by far the BEST finals calc on the internet (even though I've only used this one :P ). first semester i had an 82 %, second semester i have a 73% , my final is worth
10% and i got an 80% on it,right now my semester grade is a 78%, the paper is 200 points and its due tomorrow. im just not sure how good or bad i have to do for it to drastically change my grade..

Roger: Well right now, you have something like a 77-78%. Depending on how much your first semester, second semester, and paper grades are worth percentage-wise, you probably cannot do so badly as to drop it below a 70, nor can you get it up to an 80. I’m not sure what your question is.
