I have a real quick question. Right now in my Bio class I have a 75.56%. I have an exam and two quizzes left, plus the lab grade. I am trying to figure out what should I get in the exam to get at least a B in the class.

The Exams are 76% of the final.
The Quizzes are 5%
The lab grade is 19%

Hey so I'm doing a 8 month program and the current module we are doing is divided like this.
Assignments (3) 35%
Quiz (2) 30%
Final exam 35%

You need 90% attendance in each module and pass with 80% all together

On my first assignment I got 14/20 which is 70% and on my first quiz I got 21/35 which is 60%. Do you think I'll be safe with gettin 80% as long as I do good on the other assignments/quiz/final exam?

Hi so i am a tad worried about my grade. I currently have a 66.2 in my math class because i did terrible on my 2nd test. The lowest test grade is replaced with the final if it improves your grade. What would i need on this last test to bring my grade up to atleast a 70 and what would i need on my final to maintain a C average or even possibly a B (80)? Is it possible to get a B at all or even an A? Thank you.

Roger: It sounds like you have another category in your grade that you forgot to mention. I’ll assume you have a “homework” category worth 30% of your grade, and that your current homework average is a 82.5%. In that case, you’ll need to score at least a 74.6% on your 3rd test in order to raise your grade to a 70%. If you want an 80% overall, you’ll need to average at least a 81.6% on your 3rd test and your final exam. (If that answer seems like it’s too low, remember that your overall grade becomes a 74.8% once your lowest test score is dropped.)

Whats the point of taking 2 years of foreign language. Its useless because it takes 4-5 years to fully memorize a language. What a waste of 2 years. Even if we did take 2 years of langugage, we only know alittle words.

First of all, thank you for your website. I have been using it for 3 years. I have an 88.67% in the class of AP Chemistry. Tests are 60% of our grade. Final is 10%. We still have one more test before the final. My test average is about 85%. If I get an 88% on this upcoming test, what will I have to score on the final in order to get an A? An A is an 89.5% in the class.

So I have a 89.95% in pre-calculus H. The website says I need to get at least an 87% on my final that is worth 15% of my total grade in order to get an 89.5% in the class. So what will I need to get on my final if it also drops my lowest test score of 72% in order to also get an 89.5% in the class? My test average is an 85% and tests are worth 50% of our grades.

Roger: I just need one more bit of information: How many tests have you taken so far? I’ll assume you’ve taken 6 tests total. In that case, your overall grade will go up to a 91.48% after dropping your lowest test score. Then, you’ll need at least a 78.3% on your final to get a 89.5% overall. (This answer improves if you’ve taken fewer tests.)
