If I got an 80% on half of the final, what percent would I need to get on the other half of the final, if the final is worth 20% of my overall grade? By the way I have a 97% in the class.

Roger: What grade are you aiming for? Basically, you could use the calculator twice to find out. First, you would find out what grade you need on the Final in total. Next, you would find out what you need on the half of the final that you didn’t take yet. For this second calculation, your “current grade” would be whatever you got on your 1st part, your target grade would be the result of the 1st calculation, and your percentage worth would be 50%.

In spanish I have a final that is worth 20% of my grade. The exam is split up into two parts, the oral and the written. The oral is worth 40 points and the written is worth 140 points. So far I got 40 out of 40 on my oral exam and have a 95% in the class. What do I have to get in order to keep an A in the class (93%)

Roger: I’ll assume that 40:140 is the ratio of their weights. Therefore, you would need an 80.71% on the 2nd part.

my final is in two parts. 1st part i got a 88.89% and it brought it up to a 79.19%. if the final is worth 10% what do i have to get on part 2?

Hi, I have a 63.72 % in my precal class right now and i am taking a test on wednesday and thursday that is 100 points worth 65% of my grade. My test average is a 55 % what will i need on this test to get a 70 in the class. There are 6 tests in this category so far.

Roger: So, you need to get your Test average from a 55% to a 64.66% with that 100 point test in order to make a 70% overall. I will assume that your 6 tests were worth 100 each. Therefore, you would need a 122.62% on the next Test to raise your grade to a 70%.

for this one particular class I currently have a 85.169%, but all because of I have a terrible teacher...what do you recommend I do to get at least a 90% when the final is 16% of the grade because apparently I would need to get AT LEAST a 115.36%...so I'm pretty much screwed.

Roger: You should talk to your teacher, and if sincerely believe they are not grading fairly or teaching adequately, you should talk to your counselor.

I got a 92 on my oral in French, which is half of my exam grade. I have an 87.26 in French, (not including the Oral), and my entire exam (Oral + written) is worth 10% of my entire grade. What would I have to get to get an 83.5 in the entire class? Thank you so much!

In one of my classes, there are 3 parts to the EOC, all weighted equally. together they are worth 10% of my grade. the first part, I got a 91% on. the second i got a 95% on. what would i need to get on the third part if i have a 90.36 in the class and want to get a 90%?
