If pro means good and con means bad, then congress is the opposite of progress, right? Then Roger, what's the "pro" of the Constitution?

Roger: The pro of the constitution is its protection of personal rights and separation of powers among the branches of government.

roger how many of these comments do you actually read
and how many brain cells do you lose each time because i have none left lol

Roger: I read every single one. But neurons are remarkably resilient. They won’t die just because you read something silly.

Roger, I don't need any calculation help, but do you think I can raise my math grade from a 68 to a 70 with 4 weeks of school left + finals, just a yes or no question cause I don't know if I should try or not

Roger: Is that a semester grade? (In other words, 16 to 18 weeks.) If so, 4 weeks should be plenty of time to raise your overall grade by 2 percentage points. But it also depends on how balanced your category averages are.

My assignments worth 35% I've have two assignments and i got 100 on the both. Midterm worth 30% i've one and i got 92. My final worth 30%? How much do i need in the final to get C, B or A? Thank you

Roger: What’s the remaining 5% of your grade? I’ll assume you have a 5% “participation” category, and I’ll assume you’ll score 100% on it. In that case, your current overall grade should be a 96.6%. You’ll need to score at least a 74.7% on your final exam to get a 90% overall.

If i have a 47 for term 3, a 78 for term 4, and a 62 for the semester. what do I need to get to get a 60% for the semester

Roger: Do you have more specific scores for your two term grades? The average of 47% and 78% is 62.5%. So, I’ll assume you simply rounded down to 62%. In that case, you’ll need to score at least a 45.8% on your final exam to get a 60% overall.

I currently have a 74.57% in my class and I need at least a 70%. I have two more tests that are each worth 20%. What do I need to score in order to pass?

Roger: Just to be clear, your two remaining tests are worth 40% combined? In that case, you’ll need to score at least a 63.1% on your 2 remaining tests to get a 70% overall. If you actually meant that you have a “tests” category that’s altogether worth 20%, then try out the new calculator option labeled “I need something else”. It should be able to answer your question.

Hey I got a 59 on a recent quiz and I have 93 percent average will I still have an A when my teacher puts in the grade?

Hey so I need help calculating what I need to get on my Final Exam in order to get at least a 90 (A-) for the course.

Exams: 70% Total
Exam 1: 80
Exam 2: 76
Exam 3: not sure

Labs: 20% Total
Lab 1: 95
Lab 2: 91
Lab 3: 94

Online Assignments: 10%
Getting the full 10%

Getting bumped up one letter grade due to extra credit. I want to know what I need to score on the final exam in order to get at least an A- for the course

Roger: Well, your current grade is a 83.3%. Does your extra credit apply to your entire grade? Or does it apply to just your final exam? If you want to raise your 83.3% to a 90%, then you’ll need to score at least a 106.9% on your final exam. But if you want an 80% overall, you’ll only need to score a 64.0% on your final exam. By the way, try out the new calculator option labeled “Something else”. It should be able to answer your question.

My final is worth 15% of my grade and i need 120 to pass the class. I have a 60.4% what would 120/150 bring my percentage to?

Roger: Well, 120/150 is an 80%. If you score an 80% on the final, then it should raise your grade to a 63.3%. Is that what you were asking for?

@Rebecca
Mon, 08 May 2017 22:07:56 GMT

@Rebecca you need a 100% on your final to get a 95% in your class... good luck

Can you make an option for when the final replaces the lowest test grade if it is higher than the lowest test grade?

Roger: You can already calculate this using either the option labeled “My lowest test grade is dropped” or the option labeled “Something else”. Make sure to tell the calculator that (1) your lowest test grade is dropped, and (2) your final counts as 1 test. It’s basically the same question, except we assume you’ll score higher on your final than you did on your lowest test grade. Does that make sense?
