Hi roger. I previously wrote to you about my marketing research class.This class has been my biggest struggle this semester. The teacher is giving everyone such a hard time. Throughout this course we had 3 exams. First one I scored a 18/40, second 23/40 and third one was 24/40. Each exam is worth 20%, so overall, thats 60% of our overall grade. Our group project is worth 30% of our final grade, participation 5%, some bonus points she gives in class (the ones we have gotten correct only) worth 3%, hypothesis test 5% and qualtrics survey worth 5%. We got a 98/100 on our hypothesis test, a 77/100 on our qualtrics survey and we are still working on the project. I just went into her office hour and spoke to her in regards to what my final grade in the class MAY be. She said I will probably end up with a D but I don't know is she right? She said the final project which is worth 30% of our final grade may not help me so much. I don't know what to do im freaking out. She said a D is a passing grade for this course but I just have high expectations for myself, I can't accept a D. Can you please help me out Roger!!! PLEASE!! I'm literally having anxiety attacks because of this course. I asked her if its possible to at least end up with a C- and she said she doesn't know because of what she's forecasting or whatever. Please help!!!

Roger: Your current overall grade should be a 58.9%. But because you have 8% worth of extra credit, it should actually be pretty easy to get a C-. Assuming you get a full score in your “participation” and “bonus points”, you’ll need to score at least a 69.2% on your project to get a 70% overall.

We have 3 tests that worth 15% each, I already took 2 exams and got 46 and 60% respectivelety. what are my chance to pass the class. thanks

I have an 85% this semester in Calculus H—had the exact same grade last semester. I need at least a 60 to get an 80. If I do get an 80, my final grade will average out to an 83.

Hi I just want to know if I pass a class that requires to pass 2 exams at 60% regardless the passing grade points from the class assignments there are 3 exams and I needed to pass 2 at 60%. I failed the first one i got a 48. Then in the second one I got 68 and I the last one I got 59 but there were 3 extra credit assignment to worth 10 points each I got all of the 10 each on the 3 extra credit assignments. My total points in the class are 532 out of 630 will I still pass the class? I mean I just missed 1 point in the last exam to complete two exam at 60 %? I'm worried that I'm not going to pass just because of 1 point please help?? 🙁

Roger: If you’re required to score at least 60% on two exams, then you didn’t meet the requirement. Try asking your instructor if an exception can be made. A score of 532/630 is 84%. Maybe you can use that in your argument?
