You have no idea how long I trained to master the fidget spinner. Tell me, do you train for 8 hours a day, every day to perfect something you are "passionate" about? Didn't think so. And I'm not even done perfecting my form yet. You see, the fidget spinner is much more than a toy: it is the most unique and inspirational form of art of the 21st century only respected by the most intelligent people. I highly doubt that even the greatest "athletes" put as much time into perfecting their sport as we do into mastering the fidget spinner. Tell me, what "sport" requires as much concentration, effort, flexibility, and intellect than the art of performing the perfect spin? I'll answer that for you: none of them. I swear, if I ever hear someone associate fidget spinners with "autism" again, I will be more than willing to put then in the ground. I wouldn't fucking care if I was put in jail. I am willing to sacrifice my own well-being to defend not just my passion, but my life.

If my projects category is 40 percent of my overall grade, and one of those projects is worth 30 percent, that means the project is 30 percent of that 40 percent, right? And in that case, it is 12 percent of my overall grade? I attend school online, and I have the ability to jump over certain assessments. So, if I put a zero on that project for now, will it drop 12 percent of my grade (89), which means around 10 percent? Does that mean my grade will then be at 79? Please explain!

Roger: It’s not quite that simple. Since your project is part of a 40% “projects category”, it’ll affect your project category average, instead of directly affecting your overall grade. If your current project average is really low, then a bad project grade won’t hurt your grade as much. Additionally, if you have any empty categories in your grade (like a “participation” category that has no score yet), then your other categories assume its weight and will have a proportionally larger effect on your current grade. In a similar way, if you haven’t completed all of your projects yet, then your “30%” project will be worth a greater proportion of your projects category. If you give me more details, I can try to do the calculations for you.

Roger: Are you getting 42 points of extra credit? Or are those 42 points just regular assignments? What category are those points going in? And how much is that category worth? Try out the calculator option labeled “Something else”. It might be able to answer your question.
