How do you go about language learning?

Roger: (1) Usually just whatever’s popular that season, and (2) are you talking about human languages are programming languages? I haven’t learned a language since high school (Spanish), and I wasn’t great at it. I’ve learned (at least the basics of) dozens of computer programming languages, most of which are some kind of domain-specific languages with just a minimal amount of control flow and grammar. Once you learn to read BNF-formatted grammar, learning the syntax of programming languages usually isn’t too hard.
