I need help. Not sure why Im having problems figuring this out, but there was a huge mess up and I got a 72/100 on my first exam which is horrible. Anyways. Tests are worth 90% and assignments are 10%
If there are three test total. Two tests are worth 100 and the final is worth 150 .. assuming I get the full 10% for assignments. What test scores do I need to pass with ATLEAST an 84% which is what I need to pass the class. Med school. Please help.

Roger: You’ll need to get at least a 82.2% average in your “tests” category to get an 84% overall. Since you got 72/100 on you first exam, you’ll need to score at least a 215.8/250 (86.3%) on your 2nd test and your final exam to get a 84% overall.

So, if I have an 86 (final mark/class average) right now, what will I need to get on this unit test to end with an 88? Can I even get an 88? Thank you!

IF the total weight is 80% instead of 100% how would I calculate what I need to make for the finals if final is only worth 10%?

Roger: If your final is worth 10 out of 80, that’s 12.5%. Just divide 10 and 80 on a calculator, then multiply the quotient by 100 to get a percentage.
