If your referring to how it looks to colleges, they only see your end of semester percentages and so exam scores along with act and sat scores. If you bomb your final with like a 40% and get a 90% on the class, all they see is the 90% in the class.

So my grade in english is a 75.73 (365/482) because of my research paper. But, since the grades were so bad, the teacher told us she is giving us back half of the points that we earned on the paper. I made a 124/210 on the paper. That being said, how many points will I be getting back once she enters the grade, and then what do I have to make on my final to receive a 85.5 in the class? Thank you so much.

Roger: I’m not quite sure what it means to give you back half of the points you earned. If you’ve already earned them, then what’s there to give back? Did you mean that your exam grade will simply be multiplied by 1.5? Anyway, the answer depends on how many points your final is worth.
