The thing about finals is it cant boost your grade that much if you do well but can screw your grade up a lot if you dont. I've got an 86% in math, the final takes up 15% yet its virtually impossible to get an A. Screw this man.

So, I'm my Algebra class, I need a 90 some percent to pass, but I suck at math, and I'm terrified. And in my honors English class, I have a C. Passing, but I'd rather it be better. English is my absolute favorite subject, and I've always has a good grade in it. This year, a lot of stuff had happened. I'm not gonna go into details, but basically, I was diagnosed with depression and insomnia. It's been a problem for a while, and my grades have dropped. I know it's not an excuse, but at the same time, I don't know what to do. I'm on high school. My grades need to be good for me to get into a good college and for me to succeed. If I can't handle the stress of life now, how am I supposed to do it later on? When life is ten times harder? Wow. This started out about grades, and now I'm in desperate need of calling my therapist. Bye now...

I just want to mention that in the immediate term, final exams usually have only a modest effect on grades, because there’s little you can do now to drastically change either your current grade or your expected performance on the exam. It’s the end of the term now and the majority of your work is finished. So don’t be afraid and just let fate take its course.
