You have given me a gift almost as precious as life itself. Every morning I awake and thank you for your beautiful face and voluptuous hair. Your sweet tokens are like flowers to my garden. I only hope one day we can meet and embrace, let us dance towards the horizon and gaze into each other's eyes for eternity.
Xoxo

Roger: .. Thanks!

Hi! In my English class our teacher takes the first quarter grade as 45% second quarter grade as 45% and the final as 10% separately. I got a 89.05 1st quarter and 91.58 second quarter. What percent do I have to get on the final to get a 90% in the class?

Roger: Your current overall grade is a 90.3%, and you need at least a 87.2% on the final to get a 90% in the class.

Honestly,

the guy made an app for you guys to use, and you all just ask what you could very well plug in to the calculator and get a result in the comments section. BTW, does anyone know any good review pdfs for AP Chemistry for the Chemistry: the Central science?

This is kind of different I guess but I've had an A in the first two quarters of the year which is 40% of my grade then I'm hoping to get two more A's for the other 40% but my midterm exam and final are both C's which is the last 20%. Could I still get a final A in the class? It's on a 5 point scale and I tried to do the math but that gives me a B and my teacher had a different way that said it'd be an A. Help please!

Roger: Do you know your exact percentage in those two quarters, as well as your midterm? If your teacher thinks you can get an A, then you probably can. Your teacher is more familiar with his/her own grading policy than any calculator could be.

Good Idea Man

I serious consider you make this into a application for IOS or Android. My entire school uses this website and we all have Ipads for school. Making this into an app and putting an adds on it would be such a good idea... But honestly this is so useful its ridiculous. THANKS!!

Roger: Thanks for the idea, and you’re welcome!

If my english final is worth 200 points and i have a 99.51 and the weight of the final is 15%. How much do i need to get on the final to get at least a 90% in the class? Thanks. Awesome website by the way!

Roger: You need at least a 72/200 (36%) on the final to get a 90% in the class.

I have a 63.68 in biology, and i want a 61 to pass the class but my teacher is also gonna add 100% for my hw assingment that is worth 8% before the final so now what would i need to pass ?

Roger: That depends on how much your final is worth.

I wanted to thank you for this. It's more convenient, and faster than using the equation.
It's also quite a big stress reliever to see concrete proof that finals need not be perfect in order to maintain a good grade.
Once again, thank you!

Roger: You’re welcome!

You sir are a God. but quick question... it's my senior year of high school and I have an A in three AP classes and an A in 2 regular classes, which will most likely stay the same after the final... the only issue I have is in AP Calc where I havea C, which will remain a C post-final. From your experience, could I be rescinded from college for all As and 1 C?

Roger: No, I highly doubt it. (I’m assuming you’re talking about a school you were already admitted to.) As long as you don’t fail your calculus class, you will have no problems with your senior year grades.

Hello good sir/madam , i have an 82 in English, i need a 65, however the final is a two part. The final is worth 50% of our marks therefore each part is worth 25%. I just took the first part and i think i did sort of poorly, im guessing i pulled about a 65%, what's the bare minimum i can get on the 2nd part of the exam to be sure that i get the 65 that i need?

Roger: You need at least a 31% on the 2nd part of the exam to get a 65% overall. Relax!

Hey there

For english, we have 2 different kinds of grades, formative and summative. There is nothing seperate for finals, finals is included in the summative category. All Summative grades are 80% of my total grade, so my final will be 20% of my grade in the 80%summative category... how do I calculate that?

Roger: So, let’s say that 85% in your formative category. You could first use the calculator with [85%, 80%, 50%] to find out what grade you need in your summative category in order to get a 80% overall. The calculator would tell you that you need at least a 75% in your summative category. Let’s say that you have an 80% in your summative category. Then, you could use the calculator again with [80%, 75%, 20%] to figure out what you need on the final.

If you need more assistance, post some more details here and I’ll try to help.

I have a 58.04% in my math class, my final is worth 15% of my grade. I want a 60% in that class, what do i need to get on my final?

Roger: You need at least a 71.1% on the final.

To answer your question on my earlier comment
1) I current test average is 70%
2) I have taken one test

Roger: To get an A, you need to raise your Test average to a 78.8%. To do that, you need to get a 87.5% on the next test.

Thanks so much for this! It helps a lot. Question:

I have a 2-part Spanish final, and each part is a different portion of my grade. The oral part, which I've already taken, is worth 15%, while the written part, which I have yet to take, is worth 20%. I received a 96% on the oral final, and I have an 89.94% in the class without the oral final having been entered. What do I need to get on the written final to get a 90% in the class? Thanks!

Roger: I have a question for you: Is your Final Oral part of an Oral Category that is worth 15%? Or is the Final Oral worth 15% by itself? I’ll assume the latter. I’ll assume that your Written Final is worth 20% by itself as well, as opposed to it being counted in a Writing Category. If so, then your Final Oral would bring your grade up to a 91.1%, and you would need at least a 85.7% on the written final.

If you actually meant that you have a 15% Oral Category and a 20% Writing Category, I need to know your current averages in both of those categories as well as how many points are currently in those categories. I also need to know how many points your Oral Final and Writing Final are worth.

I have an 86.5 in my class and i have taken one test which is worth 40% of my grade and i got a 70 % on it. I have taken another test and my teacher hasn't put it in yet, so what do i need to get on it so i can get up to an A?

Roger: It sounds like you meant that you have a Test Category that is worth 40%. Is that right? If so, I need to know 1) your current test average, and 2) how many tests you have taken so far.
