Hey roger
My English teacher had us take the writing part of our final first and I got 20/24. The mark is worth 50% of our final, with the test portion coming up. The final is worth 20% and I have a 89.8 but want to get at least a 86 over all. What do I need to achieve this mark

Thanks

Roger: To get an 86% overall, you need a 70.8% on the entire final. Since you already got a 20/24 on the first part, you need at least a 58.3% on the second part of the final.

Hi Roger,
So I'm pretty much failing Algebra 2, but I'd like to at least stick with a D- (lowest being a 60.00)
Pretty low standards, but for someone with a 61.73 in the class and has bad test scores overall I'd really just like to hang on and not go to summer school.
What's the lowest possible score I can get in order to stay at a 60?
And the final is 15% of our grade.
D:

Roger: You need to get at least a 50.2% on the final exam to get a 60% overall.

Hi Roger
I have a question I get 60% mark in my term out of 80%. Then how much percentage do I need in exam to get in 80% and also the exam is only about 20%. It is possibly that I get 80%.

Roger: If you currently have 60/80 in a course right now, you would need 100% on the 20% exam in order to get 80% overall.

Hey, Roger!
I have to get at least an 83% on my AP Calculus BC final tomorrow... I was really nervous, but now I'm feeling a bit more confident. Thank you so much for making this website. You have no idea (or maybe you do!) how much I'd been stressing about this test, and now it's like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I'm seriously tempted to say I love you, but considering I don't know you, I'll settle for an "I really love what you've done for the human population". You, my good sir, are awesome.

Roger: Thanks! And you’re very welcome.

My current grade is 92.4%.
My final is in two parts: the first is worth 10% and the second is worth 20%.
I got a 90% on the first part.
What do I need on the second part to get at least a 92.5 in the class?

Roger: You need at least a 94.1% on the second part of your final to get a 92.5% overall.

I calculated my mark and received a 70 as my final grade. The comment I received was, well, better luck next time. And I happen to believe that a 70 is none the less, a good mark.

Roger: Well, as long as you’re satisfied with it. The comment also takes into account your overall grade before the final.

Hey Roger! My school is set up that at the end of the year you have one big asingment worth usally 10% your mark and the exam is worth 20% and all the other term work is 70%. Is it possible for you to program one of your calculator, so that you can type it what your mark is before the big assignment, what you got on the assignment, and what you want your overall mark to be, so then it would tell me what I would need to get on my exam to get the overall mark I want?

Roger: If you post more information about your grade here, I can help you out.

I have a 79 percent in one of my classes. I want to get at least a 80. I have taken 17 quizzes. The quiz category I'd worth 20 percent. my average in the quiz category is an 85.6. My last quiz is out of 16 points. How much would I need to get to get an 80

Thmx :D

Roger: I’ll assume that your current grade is 79.00%. You would need to raise your quiz average to a 90.6%, which means that you would need to get at least a 175.6% on your last quiz. Sorry :/

i feel stupid, but I don't understand the one blank where it asks "the final is worth _ tests". i just want to be sure I'm getting the best results. thank you by the way, this is a phenomenal website.

Roger: That one is a little confusing, for sure! Most people should put “1” in that spot. But let’s say that your tests are usually 100 points, and your teacher makes your final test 200 points. Then, you would put “2” in that spot. Does that make sense?

i currently have a 91% and my final is worth 20% of my grade. BUt the final is split into 3 parts, one part is 20% of the exam the second is also 20% and the last part is 60%. If I got a 100% on the first part, 73% on the second, what is the minimum I need to get on the last part to get an 89.5% in the class?

Roger: Well, you need at least an 83.5% on the entire final exam, so you need at least a 81.5% on the last part to get a 89.5% overall.

i have an 85.58 right now and our final is in the test category. my average for test is about 66.67 and it's 20% of our grade. what grade will i receive if i got an 82% on the final?

Roger: That depends on how many tests you have taken. (Also, try using the option that is labeled “My final counts as a test”).

Hi Roger. I'm interested in learning how to computer program. How did you learn? Do you have any tips for a beginner like myself? Thanks!!!

Awkward I was struck with inspiration to ask another question. Do you get paid for this? Because you get so many hits on this page that monetizing would not be a bad idea.

Okay so I love you. If I ever have the opportunity to date a guy like you I will consider myself extremely lucky. You have saved my life more than once.

My question to you is this: how on earth did you come up with this idea, and also, how did you beat out all the other competition online that does the same thing?

Oh one more question. How do you find the time to reply to every single comment?

xoxo from a fellow nerd

Alright, so,
We took a test (not final) that is out of 50 and I got 50. Thing is, my teacher forgot to put it in my grade, and he hasn't done so even after I reminded him. (LOL) I know he will eventually so I'm not that worried about it, but the thing is, missing that one test dropped my grade down to 71%. I know for a fact that if that grade actually there, then I would have at least a high B (most likely an A). But I wasn't sure about it and decided to test it out with this app, and it said I'd have to get almost 200% on the test to have a 90% in class, which I find to be unexpected.

The test category is worth 15% of my grade, and there is only one test in that category, and the test is out of 50 points. (So the category, which is worth 15% of my grade, is out of 50 points) I should have 100% in that category because that's what I got on the test... I just want to know how my class's grading system is different from what this app is compatible with. I know I'll end up with an A anyway, I'm just curious. Thank you

Roger: Hi John. The answer really depends on the number and weight of your undetermined categories (e.g. categories that are currently 0/0, like a Final Exam category for example). Could you specify those? Your guess that you currently have a high B or A sounds fairly reasonable given the circumstances and an assumed Final Exam weight of ~20%.

I have a 64.96 and want to get a 70. Our final is worth 15% of our grade, but it is in two parts. They are classified as the same test and i have taken 1 part of it which i got an 84% on. That 84% is part of my 64.96 right now. What do i need on the next part to get a 70%?

Roger: I’ll assume that each part is half of the total final score. If so, then you would need at least a 132.1% on the next part to get a 70% overall.

I have a 52 in chem and all I want is to pass (50) and the exam is worth 30%
it says I need at least a 45%. is it hard to get a 45%?

Roger: Well, if you’re average a 52% overall, I think you could manage a 45% on the exam.

Jo

My final is worth 20% of the grade and I have a 69.34% and I need a 69.5% for a C-, but the final can also replace one test score, and the test category is 50% of the grade and the four tests are worth 50% of the grade and I have a 63.12% in that category with 50.6%, 83.05%, 66.67%, and 52.17% on the 4 tests, what is the bare minimum i need for the final? thanks roger

Roger: You need to get at least a 62.6% on the final in order to get a 69.5% overall. Your final would replace your 50.6% test score, which would bring up your test average quite a bit. If you didn’t have the ability to replace your lowest test score, then you would need much higher than a 62.6% on the final exam to get a C-. So, be happy that you do!

2 Parts
Tue, 21 Jan 2014 23:33:11 GMT

My final is 2 parts, and they are both worth as much as a test. My test average is 91.21% and my grade right now is 93.08% , on the first part I got 27/35 , what do I need to get on the second part to get at least a 91% overall in the class? Tests are worth 75% of my grade and I have taken 14 already. Thanks!

Roger: You need at least a 60.9% on the second part to get at least a 91% overall.
