Hey Roger, I was wondering what my grade would be after I took my next test. I tried the advanced calculator but I still wasn't able to get the answer to my question. I am about to take a test that is 36 points. The points I have know are 50/50. We have also not had any tests yet. My 50 points is only 30% of my grade. I was wondering what the lowest score I could get is on my test and still have a 92% in that class. Thanks!!!!

Roger: If your 50 points are worth 30% of your grade, what is the other 70% made of? Do your 50 points and your next test share that same 30% category?

in order for me to pass with all As, i need a
95 in ap english
124 in precalc honors
90 in physics
112 in ap history

but my math teacher hasn't added in grades since like november so i hope that all brings my grade to like a B+ so my semester average increases and same with apush because he still has a few grades to add in as well

Roger, what advice do you have for people who always go on their phone instead of studying? I feel like I am addicted to my phone but I really want to get good grades too. How do I find motivation? What do you do to help yourself? Also, do you think getting a B+ in an enriched class that is not honors or AP is bad? I am afraid that it will mess up my transcript. Please respond. Thanks

Roger: Delete your social media apps (anything with a feed) and your phone gets a lot more boring. I think grades only make sense within the context of a distribution. If you did better than the average, that’s pretty good.

Hey Roger, if I currently have a 64.80 in Algebra II, and most homework is 5-10 points every night (homework is graded in the 20% category, tests are 80%), how many homework assignments do I need to do (assuming I get a 100% on each assignment) to get up to a 70% in the class?

Roger: It depends on how many homework assignments you’ve completed so far as well as what you scored on them. If you already have a 100.0% homework average, then you won’t be able to raise your overall grade no matter how many more homework assignments you do. Also, try out the calculator mode labeled “I need something else”. It should be able to answer your question.
