Interesting! It seems as though that when you need a 79.9% or lower on your final to achieve your desired grade, the calculator starts saying things like "You don't even need to bother studying" or "Maybe you can just draw a flower on the test or something", but from an 80.0%-100.0%, it's all motivational...:D

i love it when ur test is worth 20% of ur overall grade and if you dont get at least a 70 u will lose the A that u have been working for all year and its especially gr8 when u can't study because its analytical. lol. everything is gr8. i love being defined by my grades and feeling worthless after comparing myself to others. i mean fr everyone is so casually suicidal this time of year and its real concerning because passing doesn't feel like enough and having b's never feels like enough and having smarts never feels like enough and nothing ever feels like enough. when did okay stop being good enough? thats a genuine question. everyone here is either confident or a troll or absolutely devastated and hopeless feeling. and adults dont understand and i dont mean that in an "i think i am zany" way but in an it really sucks to be alone way. we can talk to each other and thats what i am doing and this is helping lots. i hope other people will maybe talk about this soon. if not on here then at school or with friends because it is a lot and i dont know i just want to get all of this off my chest and im sorry for wasting your time, but thanks for listening.

Roger: I think it’s far too easy for adults to assume that stress in school is just a part of growing up, rather than indicative of genuine problems with our incentives and reward systems for students. Being more connected also means being more aware of how you compare to others, and as it turns out, that makes more people feel worse about themselves than better. It’s hard to rationally evaluate the importance of school grades when they’re so far removed from people’s actual goals. All we get are the vague impression that everything is for the benefit of your permanent academic record and the reassurance that learning uninteresting things somehow makes you a more well-rounded person. Thanks for sharing your feelings. My only advice is to keep things in perspective, don’t believe conventional wisdom, and know that it gets way better when school stops mattering.

Roger: If an exam is fair, then any candidate’s score should be mostly predetermined by their performance throughout the rest of the course. In that case, there’s nothing you could do at this point to substantially increase or decrease your expected grade. The hard part is already over. Taking the exam is really just a formality. People tend to perform worse while nervous, so there’s no point in stressing over any exam. Hope this helps a little.
