ok so quick question: when you "dig" something, you say you like it. but then when you dig something, you are digging the physical embodiment of an object that has depth and area, otherwise digging into it would be inevitable. so if i said i "dug" something, i would be using the past tense of "dig" to say that i used to like or enjoy something. but then when i dug something, i would say i removed depth out of an object, such as the ground. both are an action and used to describe depth in some way, so how are the two so different, then? the answer is probably really obviously obvious, but i'm tired and i need a 168% to get an 85 on my bio final so someone please elaborate.
