I have a 96.3 in my math class. We have two more tests (a final and another exam), and tests are worth 40% of my final grade. The exam will definitely be put in the grade book, but the final is pretty much a throwaway (meaning if I get a good grade, I can replace any bad test grades, but if I get a bad grade, it doesn't count against me). Assuming I want a 98 in my class and would (ideally) like to use the final to replace another test that I got a 91 on, what is the minimum grade I should get on both the exam and final? Is it possible for you to calculate that??
