Hey again Roger. In answer to your question, yes I've taken three exams and the 4th is the final. My test scores are 65%, 65%, and a 91%.

Roger: I’m assuming that your four exams are worth 25% altogether, not each. I’m also assuming that your three existing exams were scaled up to be worth the full 25%, in calculating your 74.98% grade. (As opposed to the category being scaled down to 18.75%) If so, you will need at least a 109.5% on your final to get a 80% overall. (You will need a 29.5% on your final to get a 70% overall.)

I have a 79.2 in geometry (hardest class ever) and my instructor is going to drop our lowest test grade and replace it with our final grade if we do better.
My final is worth 20%
Tests are worth 40%
My previous test grade (they are horrible) 81% 76% 74%73% 70%

Roger: Don’t give up! If you don’t give up now, it will help you try even harder in the next class. In high school, I took a introductory bio course, but I just goofed around. I scraped by with an A- the first semester, so I didn’t take it seriously from there on. Right before the final exam, I got really bad grades on a couple of tests, and I calculated that I needed like a 99.8% on the final in order to get an A- again (and that would only get me to a 89.495%, which the grading software would round up to a 89.50%, and my teacher would round up to an A-). Basically, there was no way I’d make it, unless I got every single question correct. So I went home and studied for the longest continuous period of time I had ever studied in my life. I had an insane amount of focus, and I reviewed every single detail we had covered during the semester, hoping that there was a slight chance I could get every single question correct. I ended up with a 93%, which was pretty good in terms of how everybody else did on the final, but not good enough. Anyway, two years later, I took AP Biology, and I was anxious about going through the whole experience again. But I put genuine effort into the class, and I came out with great grades. And I did it all again, with Biology IB/HL the following year. Biology got to be one of my favorite things about high school, but I think it all started with a lot of stressful finals cramming.

How much is worth my final grade:
Final 18.02%
Tests 45.05%

My scores:
Test 1: 94%
Test2: 93.5%
Test 3: 92%
Test 4: 83%
Test 5: 76%

Roger: You will need at least a 77.4% on your final exam to get a 90% in the class. (I’m assuming your 92.63% includes all of your tests, even Test 5, the lowest one.)

So I only need a 55% on my anatomy final to keep my A...

So I have a 78 as of now in my AP stat class and our final is in 2 parts each is 10%. one is a performance final and one is just a final. What do I need to get on them to get an 80 in the class? Thnaks! And are you taking final exams too? Well good luck on those as well!

In my stats class, I've taken 4 tests worth 70% of my grade. I made a 90, 73, 78 and a 92. The final is worth 25% of the grade, and my prof will replace our lowest test grade with the final if it is higher. The last five percent of the grade comes from assignment's (which I have completed), so I will get those points. I would like to make a 90 in the class if possible.

Thanks a bunch, I have a ECON final tom and I was stressing until I figured out what I needed to get a 70%.

So in one of my classes we have 2 finals. One is with our point system, including the final there is 2600 available points and the final is 100 points. There is another final which is 20% of my grade. I have a 87.4% and I want to know what I have to get on each of the tests.

I need to know what I should get on my final exam to achieve 75-80% in my final course grade.

Here is how our grading works.

2 Midterms (Each worth 15%)= total of 30%
Quizzes (Total worth 15%)
Homework (Worth 5%)
Final (Worth 50%)

What I have:

Midterm 1: got 35%
Midterm 2: got 62.50%

Quizzes (So far): 85%
Homework (So far): 94%
Final exam: Still going to do it..

Roger: Your current grade is a 64.15%. To get a 75% overall, you will need to get at least a 85.9% on the final exam. To get a 80% overall, you will need to get at least a 95.9% on the final exam.
