Hello. If I have a 95% now and I get a 70% on my midterm thats worth 20%, what would my overall grade be?

Roger: The answer depends on how much of your coursework you’ve completed so far. For example, if we assume that your “95%” overall grade represents 30% of your total coursework, then your overall grade should drop to a 85%.

Hey Roger mind if I join the Roger team and help comment on these people when you don't have time to get to them. If no I understand I am probably a robber or hacker and I don't even know it but I would love it if you would respond.

Roger: That depends… are you willing to change your first name to “Roger”? On a more serious note, I have reservations about vouching for the accuracy of other people’s answers. The math part is pretty easy, but in my experience, lots of question-askers don’t understand their own grading systems. They ask questions that don’t make sense or sound implausible. Sometimes their questions contain conflicting facts, and sometimes they’re underspecified. Sometimes the wording of their question gives rise to multiple interpretations. I try my best to interpret those things with nuance and refuse to answer when the question itself seems to be flawed. In any case, thanks for offering to help! I appreciate it.

Hey, I honestly don't know how to calculate this but I have an average of 79% for now after the first 2 units and I have 6 units left. What's the minimum I have to get on all the future tests if I want my final mark to be over 90%

Roger: If we assume that your 6 remaining units are worth 75% of your overall grade, then you’ll need to average at least a 93.7% on your next 6 units to raise your overall grade to a 90%.

I have a 78.1% on my grade for now and I want an 80% or more.
Its worth 12 points and 90% of my grade.
I need to know if its possible to get my grades up and to make my parents stop nagging.

Roger: Are you saying that your final exam is worth 90% of your grade? That sounds suspicious.

Roger, thank you for creating a website so that every typical student can figure out how much to study for their exam. Appreciate it man. How many people click on this site do you know by chance?

Roger: Glad to help! It depends on the time of year. The total is probably in the millions.

if my grade in the class is a 74, and my teacher drops my lowest test grade (67%), what will my grade be?

Roger: It depends on how many tests you’ve taken so far as well as what you scored on them. Also, how much are your tests worth, as a percentage of your current overall grade?

I have a 83.7 in my AP Bio class, if the final is worth 2 tests in the 65% category and my average test grade is 81% and that includes tests quizzes and other extra credits that gave my assessment points, what would I need on my final to get at least an 80?

Roger: The answer depends on how many tests/quizzes you’ve taken so far, as well as what you scored on them. Also, how much are your tests worth compared to your quizzes? What’s the other 35% of your grade made of? Try out the calculator mode labeled “I need something else”. It should be able to answer your question.

I am in the 9th grade and have my first grade that is split up into percentages. We do not have exams we have tests. I have a 66% because I made a d on One test. Test are 55 percent of my grade and classwork is 45% of my grade. For classwork I have 4 grades in. I have two one hundreds a 80 and a 0. Each of my classwork are ten points. What do I need to get on the next test to bring it up to a 79?

Roger: Try out the calculator mode labeled “I need something else”. It should be able to answer your question.

Roger: I think people should spend 80% of their time making work easier/faster/better and 20% of their time doing the work itself.
