Im currently in Microeconomics and my class uses a "weighted" system. The grades are distributed into five categories:

Tests: 30%
Quizzes: 20%
Homework: 20%
Projects: 20%
Participation: 10%

I have the following scores on all but one of the categories:
Tests: 88%
Quizzes: 94%
Homework: 100%
Projects: 100%

What percentage or amount of points would I need to receive an 89.5 in the class? I've calculated that I have a 20% in participation at the moment due to not attending class because of family emergencies. The teacher won't let me make up the participation.

Did you do any computer science classes in HS?

Roger: I started by buying a JavaScript book at the bookstore (probably not a great idea, in retrospect). I took AP Computer Science in high school, but I had already been programming for a few years at that point.

I only need to make 66% on three of my finals. Praise be the flying spaghetti monster.

60% - 63.99% = D -

I have a 96.8% in my math class right now.
There are 4 tests that are worth 60% of my total grade.
A final thats worth 20%.
Also a homework category worth 20%

I want to get a 90% in the class. However, I missed 1 of the tests and that grade is being replaced with my final exam grade.

My test average for the 3 tests i have taken is an 97.6

What do i need to get on my final exam grade to receive a 90% overall in the class, my final exam grade is replacing my missed test 4 grade.

Roger: What’s your current homework average? I can infer that it should be a 94.4%. In that case, you’ll need to score at least a 77.7% on your final to get a 90% overall. By the way, try out the calculator mode labeled “I need something else”. It can answer questions like this.
