Dear Roger,
How would you recomend me to stay more focused? I have a hard time paying attention in class and ive had alot going on this past few weeks and worrying about finals and tests stress me out even more. If you could help me I would be sooo Thankful!
Roger: When I’m having trouble staying focused, it’s usually because I didn’t sleep enough or because the subject matter is just too boring. I don’t have any advice on the former, but if it’s the latter, you can try participating more to stay engaged. Speak up and ask more questions, or offer some feedback to your instructor about how they can better suit your needs. Also, I think stress-related distraction is a separate issue from staying focused that should be addressed independently. What are you stressed about?

I have a 60 in my math class. I have no missing assignments at all. 2nd Semester is just right around the corner and grades about to be turned in for good. I want at least a 70 or 80 in math class. There is a 100 point test coming up in a week. I was wondering if there was any way that if I made a 90 or 100 on that test, that my grade will come up to the 70 or 80. Or am I screwed?
