Hi so I currently have a 67% in my class and the final is worth 20% but if we score high on the final my teacher will replace one of my lowest lecture exam grades with the final grade (for example, score a 70 in final, exam 1-52, exam2-60, exam3-70, she will replace the 52 with the 70 but the final is still 20% of my grade) on my lecture exams I scored Exam #1=52, exam #2=52.5, exam #3=53.5 what do I need on the final to get a 70% in the class? If I get a 0 on my final my grade goes down to an A-

So on canvas, I went to the "What if" scores part, and I plugged in the score that this site said I needed to keep an A in the class and it dropped my grade to an 85 instead of a 90 on canvas. Is this a canvas issue or am I missing something?

Roger: Maybe your understanding of the grading policy is different from what Canvas is using? I’d double check with your instructor.

GPA matters dependent on what college you want to go to, what scholarships you would like etc. In my case I had a 3.4 gpa and I had a 84% chance to get into the college of my choice. However, GPA is also not the only thing they take into consideration. They also take SAT and/or ACT scores. If you have a really high SAT score then you will most likely get into the college of your choice but it also again depends on what college you want to get into. Basically, GPA is a measurement to test your dedication while the SAT is a measurement to test your intelligence.

Y'all need to stop worrying right about now if you're taking a final. I know y'all are stressed, and I get it. But what you need to know is that we care about you and it'll be alright. I hate failing my students and I want y'all to stop worrying about your grades. Honestly, it's a win-win: if you pass, you go on, and if you don't, you get to see my gorgeous face again! Good tidings to you and I hope y'all do well.
