Ok I have a overall of 78% in class and I need a 75% to pass and I have a 0% on my project which is worth 40% of my grade what would that drop my overall grade to?

Roger: Is that one project worth 40% of your grade? Or is it in a Projects category that’s altogether worth 40% of your grade? I’ll assume the former. If so, then your grade would drop to a 46.8%.

hey roger. i really need your help! last quarter i suffered from a bad case of senior-itis and i got a 48.98% in English. i have a 66.9% in there right now, what do i need to get this quarter to have a C for the semester?

Roger: I’ll assume that a C is a 70%, and that your semester grade is the average of 2 quarter grades (last quarter and this quarter). If so, then you’ll need at least a 91.02% for this quarter in order to get a C for the semester.

Hey ruger
I have a 80% for my grade and i decide not to do a project and projects are worth 25% how low would it o down please answer fast !!!

Roger: It depends on (1) how many projects you’ve done so far, (2) what your current project average is, and (3) whether you have any empty categories in your grade (like a Final Exam category?). Can you provide that information?

I just recently had a test. On it, I got a 90%. I currently have a 100% in this class. 2 grades are homework, while one is a test that I got a one hundred on. What is my current grade if a test is 50% and homework is 5% of my grade?

Roger: I’ll assume that you meant your Tests Category is worth 50% of your grade and your Homework Category is worth 5% of your grade. That means there’s another 45% in some other category that you didn’t mention. If so, then your current grade is a 95.45%.

Do you watch any shows? Anything, from watching Naruto and Dragonball to watching the Flash.

Roger: I watch Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley. I also watch some anime and a lot of YouTube.

If I have a 42.08% in my class and I need to take my final what grade do I need to get to recieve a D. There are 810 total points and the final is worth 100 points

Roger: I’ll assume that a D is a 60%. I’ll also assume that your 810 total points includes the 100 point final. If so, then you’ll need at least a 187.2% on the final exam to get a 60% overall. (You can also use the Final Grade Calculator, if you use “12.34%” as the worth of your final exam.)

Roger: Not anymore. But, I used to watch a lot of Lakers games with my dad when I was little.

It is the beginning of my new marking period. I have 100% in math, because of two homework grades. The weighting scale for math is:

5% Homework
30% Quizzes
50% Tests
15% Problem Solving

If I had two one hundreds in homework, but get an 85% on my test, what will be my new grade? I have no other test grades or homework grades.

Roger: Your new overall grade will be a 86.4%. That’s because your test would account for the entire 50% Tests Category, while your 2 homeworks would only count for a total of 5%.

recomment:

alright i have two parts of a final exam,

the first part is worth 40% and the 2nd is worth 60%,

if i have an 84.53 (round it up, so it would be a 85), and I made a 83 on the first part of the final, could I do really really bad on the last part of the exam, and still pass?

grading scale for the exams: 0-100

grading scale for my school:
a- 100-93
b- 92-85
c- 84-77
d- 76-70
failing- below 69

(finals are tomorrow, wish me luck by the way!)

Roger: So, you told me your Final Exam’s first part is 40% and its second part is 60%. But you didn’t tell me how much your final exam is worth altogether, as a percentage of your overall grade. Can you provide that number?

I have a 59.32% our EOC is worth 15% of my class grade and won't count against me and I have a 50 point bonus I'm doing what grade would I need to get on the EOC to get a 67%?

Roger: I can’t say how much your 50 point bonus will help, without knowing how many points you have total. If I ignore that bonus, then you’ll need to get at least a 110.5% on the EOC to get a 67% overall. The actual amount you need will be lower, depending on how much that bonus helps you.

If I had a 60% first cycle 67% second cycle and a 59% third cycle what do i need to pass the year

Roger: It depends. What overall percentage do you need to pass? Do you have a fourth cycle?

So my school is spilt into 4 quarters. I did alright for the first two, but i ended up getting a 55% for my third quarter which just ended, and write now i am passing in fourth quarter, if i continue with having an A for the rest of the year, what do you think my final grade will be?

Roger: What did you get in the first two quarters? If you get an A for the 4th quarter, then it’ll probably balance out with the 55% you got for the 3rd quarter. Maybe you’ll end up with an average grade overall?

What's the lowest grade you've ever received o.o?

Roger: Like, on a single assignment? I’ve probably gotten a zero on something at least once.

Hi Roger!
I currently have an 88.89 in my year grade for my Apush class. It is right now the start of the 4th quarter and I was wondering was grade I would have to get this quarter to make my year grade rise to an A?
Thanks!

Roger: Assuming that each quarter is worth the same amount and that 90% is an A, you’ll need to get at least a 93.33% on the 4th quarter to get a 90% overall.

Hey Roger
I love to program and I'm trying to learn a good variety of languages. I know you are very skilled in many languages, so I was wondering what the top languages you would recommend me (or anyone in general) start to learn? Also, where did you learn all the languages you know? Internet? School? Anyway just curious.

Thanks

Roger: You can learn programming languages on the Internet, no problem. I suggest you start with learning Python. Then, depending on your interests, you can either learn Java and C to try systems programming, or you can learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript if you just want to do cool web stuff.

Hey, I have a question regarding my grade in my physics class. I have a 72% in the class so far. I want at least a 90%

15 quizzes (worth 15% of my grade) I've done 4 quizzes so far.

15 labs (worth 25% of grade) I've done 6 labs so far

3 tests (worth 60% of my grade) I've done one test so far

Can you help me figure out what I need to do.

Roger: The answer depends on your current average for each of those categories. Can you provide those?

Hi Roger
for the first semester if I get 68.80% how will that affect my final grades after the second semester grades come out? so for the first semester I get 68.80% and lest say I get an 80% somehow, even if I improve a lot in my classes how will my first grade it affect my very final grade?

Roger: Well, if your 2 semesters have the same weight, then your final grade would be the average of the two scores. If you got a 68.80% and an 80.00%, then your average would be a 74.4%.

Hi!
Ever thought of doing an inverted form of the final grade calculator? So if I have an 88 and think I'll get a 70 on the exam that's worth 30% of my mark, what would my final grade be? I could just work backwards but I know a lot of students looking for those kinds of answers. Thank you for all your hard work! Literally every students savior!

Roger: You can do that by selecting the “Already took the final. What is my overall grade?” option on the Final Grade Calculator. For your example, you would put in “88%”, “70%”, and “30%” into that calculator, and it should tell you that the resulting grade would be a 82.6%.

HEY ROGER, IM GOING TO WRITE IN CAPS SO THAT HOPEFULLY YOU SEE THIS COMMENT AND REPLY. (smart huh ?) SO BASICALLY I WAS WONDERING IF IT WAS POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO MAKE A CALCULATOR SHOWING WHAT PERCENTAGE YOU WOULD NEED TO GET THE SECOND SEMESTER OF SCHOOL IN ORDER TO GRADUATE W A FINAL A IN THAT CLASS. For example, at my school, the grades don't roll over into the next semester. I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE... IT WOULD BE COOL TO KNOW: IF I GET 80% THE FIRST SEMESTER, WHAT PERCENTAGE WOULD I NEED TO GET THE SECOND SEMESTER IN ORDER TO GET AN A (90%)

Roger: You can actually just use the final grade calculator to figure that out. For your example, put down “80%” as your current grade, “90%” as your desired grade, and “50%” as the weight of the final. This works because each of your 2 semesters has equal weight (I’m assuming), so each is 50%.
