i need a 109% on my precalc final to have my parents love me :)

initial grade was 90.3, got an 81 on my final today worth 30 per cent. Final grade was a 90.7! While mathematically that makes truck all sense I probably got a bonus mark or something...

I'm sorry to hear that, but there's really not much you can do this semester if you don't have any missing, late, or extra credit assignments that you can turn in.

However, if you haven't heard this already, colleges look for not only a good GPA, but growth. If you get all A's next semester (or just better grades than this semester), per se, you may impress colleges with your growth.

Also, depending on whether you're a Freshman or not, colleges mostly do not look at Freshman GPA (depends on the college you would like to go).

Since you may fail this class, you may have to take summer school, but consider that as a class for your redemptions, and earn better grades for that class.

Plus, from the trends of this pandemic, I've seen both strangers and friends fall into a deep, dark hole of motivation loss. You're not alone. In fact, I've seen a stranger who commented that his/her grade dropped from a 79% to a 17%. My friend who was once a student who earned all A's now finishes with few A's. Now, I'm not saying that you should use this as an excuse to continue being unmotivated. You need to find another force to counteract your loss of motivation. Hang in there, everything will get better. Just learn from your mistakes this time around. Best of luck!

Dear Mr. Chen, as a student in the professional health science, you have no idea how much relief I get when the calculation result pops up and says "Nice job, you've earned it!" or "You don't even need to bother studying." ... This year was exceptionally difficult due to the pandemic as well as losses that happened in my personal life. Receiving those little messages of motivation when trying to find out how much I need to pass my courses so I can move on with my academic career is so refreshing and just what I need to get through the day and exam season. Wishing you and your family well Roger. Thanks for making this tool. It's amazing to see how far its usage has come since I first learned about it in high school.
