Yo you for sure are right about that math problem. The $1.75 would bring her total amount of money down to $8.25. Then, if you divide her remaining total by the cost per mile ($0.65), you end up with 12.6923.... or about 12.7 miles. Either your teacher has fewer brain cells than my mentally challenged pet lizard named Tyrone, or you are supposed to round your answer to the maximum number of whole miles, which would mean your final answer would be 12 miles

The answer is not 12.7 though.

you don't need to get an A++++ in a class like chemistry (especially honors) to be proud of yourself!
Chemistry is difficult, I'm taking it right now too and I'm not even in honors haha!
You can try and improve your grade for the rest of your quarter/semester if you have time left, but if not, colleges look at improvement in your grades-- not just being a perfect student in all your classes.
If you take more science or chemistry courses later, you can impress colleges by continuing to take honors courses and showing progress in your grades. If you got a B- this semester/quarter, try aiming for a B+ or A- next time.

I haven't taken stats, but i know that math can suck. There's not a lot I can do to help you practically speaking, but I really do hope it gets better! Hopefully your teacher will curve your exams (to your benefit) and you'll do better next time.
if tutors are an option, maybe look into that! Try your best and ask for help. consider reaching out to some other students in your class too and see if they are willing to form a study group together! That's what has helped me in math classes although i'm not as advanced as you since I'm not in stats.
getting that far in math is already an accomplishment too! be proud of where you've gotten and do your best to keep going!

grade point average. So basically each class you take adds up to your GPA and then is divide by how classes you are taking. Depending what school you are in some class can be, like honors and AP, can be more than the normal 4 class are. And what letter grade you have affects your GPA.
