I have a 47% in science class and I got a 87 on a test, and tests/AKA assessments are weighted 40%. Whats my average gonna be when my teacher adds in the 87 on my test?

I have an 85.62% in my Science class. I have two parts to my midterm (none of which I have taken, but it won't compute my grade on the two part calculator). I just want to know what I need to get on both of them to at least maintain an 80%.

Roger: If you haven’t taken either part of your 2-part midterm, then you can just treat it as 1-part midterm, which you just happen to take over the course of 2 days. The 2-part calculator is only for when you’ve already taken part of your final, but you want to know what grade you need on the remaining parts. How much is your midterm worth? And what are the other categories in your grade? (Is there a final exam category? Or any other empty categories?)

I got a 38 50 78 75 64 and I got a 68 on my test There are about 20 quizzes left because we have them 3 times a week

Roger: Based on your numbers, it seems like you should have a 64.5% in your Quizzes and Tests category. However, you said that you had a 60% in that category. I will assume that you were rounding down, and that you actually have a 64.5%, not a 60%. Now, if you got 100% on each of your next 20 quizzes and 8 tests, then your overall grade would rise to a 84.45%.

Roger: If you’ve already missed 3 homework assignments and failed the first exam, the highest grade you could get is around a 65%. The actual number depends on exactly how badly you did on the first exam.

Roger: I’m assuming quizzes = tests (because you never mentioned a tests category). So, you’ll need to average at least a 95.3% on your remaining 4 tests and your final exam to get an 80% in the class. (But if you only want a 70% in the class, you’ll only need to average a 71.5% on the remaining quizzes and final.)

Hello! So I had a question. I have an 89.46 in my class currently. The final is tomorrow, but it only counts as one test. Tests are 40% of our grades. I have taken one test. My test average is an 85. So right now I have a 76.25 in the class in my homework category I have a 92% that's weighted 10% in quizzes I have a 85.5% weighted again 10% I have a 74% in test category which is weighted 80% what do I need on my next test in order to have a 79.6% in the class we have only taken one test!

Roger: You’ll need to get at least a 80.63% on the next test in order to raise your grade by a 79.6%. (By the way, according to your numbers, you should have a 76.95% overall, not a 76.25%. Maybe some of your numbers are too imprecise?)
