I’ll assume that you meant the former case. I’ll also assume that there are no more assignments going into your grade after the final project (like maybe, a final exam?). In that case, your overall grade will decrease to a 67.6%.

Okay, so I have a 43 in my English class ( yes I know that's a ridiculously low grade but this has been a very difficult semester for me, but I won't go into detail ) my final is coming up which is worth 25% of my grade. So apparently I need to score a 115 in order to pass my class and get a 70. I have at least 3 quizzes, a few assignments, an essay, and a little bit of extra credit I can do ( plus of of course my finals). Do you think all of this is enough to bring my grade up to where I'm passing before the semester ends which is in 2 weeks?? I'm really stressing out right now so please let me know what you think (:

Roger: Well, the exact answer depends on how much those assignments are worth altogether. But let’s say, in the best case scenario, the remaining assignments make up 50% of your overall grade. Then, you’d need at least a 97% on the remaining assignments (after adding in that extra credit) to get your grade up to a 70%. If there’s only 2 weeks left, I don’t think there’s enough time to bring your grade up to a 70%. Maybe it’s time to focus on your other classes instead? Good luck, and sorry!

Hi. I have a 67.27 in my algebra class. I want to make an 80 in the class. I have my final left to take. If we do well on our final, our professor is going to keep our final grade and put the final grade in for our lowest test grade.

We have taken 4 test (100 points each), quizzes are worth 100 points, HW is 150, attendance is 50, and the final is 300.

I have earned 130.77 in test, quizzes are 63.98, attendance is 50, and test are 242.5.

What do I need to make on the final to obtain a B in the class?

For the finals i will jist take a guess and say i have a 30. I need to pass the class with a 70. The professor said this is the equation to see our grade. F > (70-(0.6T + 0.1H) ) / 0.3

Roger: That equation looks correct. You should be careful with the percentages though. It should really be (0.7 - (0.6T + 0.1H)) / 0.3, so that you’re expressing 70% as “0.7”. Your current test average is 76.7%, and your current overall grade is an 80%. So, you’ll need to get at least a 46.7% on the final to get a 70% overall.
