Roger: Did you mean that you need a 60% overall grade to pass? (As opposed to a 60% on the final exam itself.) Well, even if you got a 0 on your final, your overall grade would only drop to a 63%, which is enough to pass.

Roger: It depends on exactly what you got on your final exam. You can use the option labeled “Already took the final. What is my overall grade?” to calculate this. For example, let’s assume that you got a 45% on the final exam. You can put “64%” for your current grade, “45%” for your final exam grade, and “20%” for how much your final exam is worth. And then, the calculator should tell you your overall grade dropped to a 60.2%. Hope this helps!

You should put “61.19” in the first field, “70” or “80” in the second field, and “50” in the third field. The third field should be 50%, because we’re considering all of your ungraded assignments: your second essay, your third essay, and your final exam.

I'm taking Microbiology and my grade in lab is 66% and I have one more lab report that is worth 100 points. My grade in Lecture is 70.55% and I have one more lecture exam left that is with 98 points. The lecture is worth2/3 and Lab is worth 1/3 of the final grade. The teacher probably gave you an A because you've demonstrated some sort of growth with that 98%. Also I highly doubt that this website is inaccurate as it is structured upon a fixed equation.

Idk what happened but I had an 86.8 in my course and wanted to get at least a 90, and one of my final projects was worth 15%. I put all this info into this calc and it said that I need 103% to achieve this. However, on my final I passed with a 98% and I was able to achieve a 90% as my final mark. Kind of confused by this so I just want to give others a bit of a warning not to rely on this site that much... It's not very accurate.
