Can someone help me out here. I am currently taking Algebra 2 and have a 52 in it. Yes that is low but it's because I bombed my previous test and got a 26% on it. The good thing is that you can drop that test my doing test corrections. It means that it will take your previous test out of the grade book. So what would I need to get on my exam to pass the class with at least a 60%? It says on Rogerhub I would need a 92% to get an overall grade of a 60% but that is not accurate because the 26% wont count towards my final grade, only the exam grade would! So what would I need to get on it?
Roger: The answer depends on how much of your coursework you’ve completed so far. For example, if your current grade (52%) represents 75% of your total coursework, then you’d need to score at least a 56% on your “test correction” to raise your overall grade to a 60%.

Hi Roger
In social studies, I got an 81 on a test that is worth 40% of my grade. I have the option to boost that up to an 86 with five extra credit points but I am wondering will it help much. PS my grade is an 87.2
Roger: Take a moment to check whether your test is worth 40% of your grade by itself or whether your test is part of a “tests” category, which is altogether worth 40% of your grade. This makes a huge difference in how much extra credit will impact your grade. If your test is worth 40% of your grade, then 5 percentage points of extra credit will raise your overall grade by 2% to a 89.2%.

So I am currently making a 92.3 % in my class. I am supposed to write a 6 page paper and do a discussion board on it all together totaling 30% of my grade--- If i dont do it, could i still pass my class with an 80% ?
Roger: If you don’t do those two assignments, your grade should drop to a 64.6% (assuming that those two assignments are the only two remaining assignments). If you have additional assignments in the course, then this will be an overestimate.

Hi roger, I have never used this website before but it sounds brilliant.
This is urgent.
I scored a

11/30 ( Worth 30 percent )
and last one is:
/60 ( worth 60 percent)
My tutor it doesnt matter that I failed the first two, if I do well on the last assessment I can pass.
How much do you think will be needed for a pass
REGARDS,
Roger: So, I don’t have enough information to answer your question. That’s because the requirement for passing a course is different for different courses (sometimes, even different courses at the same school). In order to figure out what you need to score on your last assessment to pass your course, you’ll need to first find the minimum overall grade required to pass your course.

Roger: How can you have a 90% test category and a 15% final exam category? Those two alone would add up to more than 100%. Anyway, the answer depends on how many tests you’ve taken so far and your current test average in each of the courses.
So to answer your question our tests/ are 90 percent and 10 percent is homework. Then the summative is 85 percent of our grade and the final makes up the other 15. So in that class my test average is 75.22 with two tests in we have one left and they are each 100 points i got a 84 on the fist one second one 74
My other class has 60 percent for tests and I have a 76.5 average for that (1st 82 second 74 and 3rd 73) We have 2 more. My quizzes are at 74 percent. The only difference quizzes are 30 percent and 10 percemt is homewor
. Then the summative is 85 percent of our grade and the final makes up the other 15.
Roger: Your test average in your first class should be around a 79%, not a 75.22%. I’ll assume that your test average actually is 75.22% anyway. In that case, you’ll need to average at least a 108.9% on your last test and your final exam to get a 90% overall. If you want an 80% overall instead, you’ll need to average at least a 84.1% on your last test and final exam. For your second class, you’ll need to average at least a 113.3% on your next 2 tests and your final exam to get a 90% overall. If you want an 80% overall instead, you’ll need to average at least a 85.1% on your next 2 tests and your final exam.

70 in class.
Want a 70 as final grade.
Final is 30 of grade and also counts as a test.
Lowest test score 0
Took 3/4 test so far with a 60 average.
Test are 40 percent of grade.
Extra 12 points added to final based on attendance.
Roger: Your lowest test score doesn’t matter, unless your course has a policy that lets you drop your lowest N test scores (you didn’t mention one, so I’ll assume you don’t get to drop any tests). Anyway, you’ll need to score at least a 67.5% on your final to get a 70% overall. If you get 12 bonus points on your final, then you’ll only need to score 55.5% on it.

You can take a car key or a stylus (Nintendo 3DS stylus works great) and change your “65” to a “85” by connecting the gap in the 6. In fact, you can convert almost any digit into an 8, but some work better than others.

I'm just wondering if this is accurate? I'm not being judgmental at all. I'm actually basing dropping a class on this information I get from this site. I'm at an 80 percent and figured in the calculations on this site and it said that if I fail my final I will still end up with a c and pass the class. Can I rely on this information?
Roger: The most important thing is to make sure you fully understand how your instructor will calculate your overall course grade. This calculator is designed to cover the most common scenarios, but it does make a few assumptions in order to keep the UI simple. Take a look at the formulas sheet for this calculator if you want to understand how the calculator works. (Also, the calculator will round the final answer to the nearest hundredth of a percent, but does not round intermediate values.)

classwork is 20% of the grade
quarterly test is 5%
and quizzes are 35%
Thanks!!!
Roger: It depends on (1) how many tests you’ve taken so far and (2) your current test average. Also, is each of your tests worth the same fraction of your test grade? Or are some tests worth more than others?

I am in 7th grade and i am taking Pre-AP math. This is the second nine weeks and we are about 5 weeks in. I have a 51% score right now. We will probably have more grades before the final test of the nine weeks. What percent do I need to get on most assignments if there are 20 and they are 15 points each? (I am just estimating on how many points each assignment will be. And how many.)
Roger: Well, instead of estimating how many points your assignments are worth, we can estimate that your remaining assignments are worth 4/9 (44.4%) of your grade for the second nine weeks. Even if you estimate that you have 20 assignments worth 15 points each, that doesn’t tell you anything without knowing how many points your past assignments were worth. Anyway, what is your goal for these second nine weeks? The answer will depend on how high you want to raise your 51% current grade.

So I am taking a class where she doesn't average are grades for us so I didn't know what my average was for the calculator. But I want to know my average now and what I have to get on my other test to make a b or an a! So far my first test I made a (70/100 70%) then second test I made (88/100 88%) then my project I made a (45/50 90%)we have three more test that are a 100 points what would I have to get on them ?
Roger: Your current grade should be a 203/250 (81.2%). You’ll need to average at least a 79% on your next 3 tests to get a 80% overall. If you want a 90% overall instead, then you’ll need to average at least a 97.3%. Your next 3 tests are effectively worth 54.5% of your grade, so if you put in “81.2%”, “80%”, and “54.5%” into the calculator, it should give you the same answer.

hey roger,
I have an 83 percent in my spanish class, i still have one more benchmark left(25% of my grade) and my final left(20%). Do u think I will be have at least a 90%?
Roger: What are you planning to score on your benchmark and your final exam? Also, did you mean that your benchmark is itself worth 25% of your grade? Or did you mean that your benchmark is part of a category that’s altogether worth 25% of your grade? If it’s the latter, I need to know what other assignments are in that category.

My history average is a 74. My religion average is a 73. My English average is a 71. My anatomy average is a 75. I want to raise my grades up to at least an 81 in every class. How do I determine what test grade I need to get in history, anatomy, English, and religion to get them up tremendously?
Roger: The answer usually differs from class to class. You should start by finding out how many tests and/or other assignments are remaining in each of your classes. Then, find out how each of your instructors calculates class grades. Ask them to walk you through an example if you’re having trouble understanding their grading policies.

Roger: I’ll assume you currently have no empty categories in your grade (like an empty “Participation” category). In that case, you’ll need to score at least a 130.7% on your 4th exam to raise it to a 92%. If you want a 90% overall, then you’ll need to score at least 113.0% on your 4th exam. If you actually do have empty categories in your grade, then these answers will be overestimates.

Hi I have an 87.5 B in my class test are worth 80% of my grade I have a test on Monday that is worth 45 points. How much points would I need to get a 90% as overall grade
Roger: So it depends on how many points you have in your test category so far. For example, let’s say that your current test category score is 135/160 (84.4%). In that case, you’d need to score at least 98.6% on your test to raise your grade to a 90%.

Roger: The answer depends on (1) how many quizzes she’s taken so far, (2) her current quiz average, and (3) whether there are any empty categories in her grade, like a “Participation” category that has no score assigned. Do you happen to know those 3 things?

On the other hand, I have a 77.05%. the only thing is in this class I have two more tests both 60 percent of my grade. My final is still 15 percent.
Please respond as soon as possible thanks

So I got a 34 on my ACT and was really happy. But then, my bible teacher dropped my grade to a solid 86% and killed my GPA. Used this sick calculator here and found I would need a 102 on the exam to bring my grade to a 90. Fun!
okay so how much do i need to score on a test if I have an 83 in ELA and i want to get 100
Roger: How much is your test worth?
I currently have 94% in my language arts class, if I got a 40% on the test worth 40 percent of our grade, what would my grade in the class be?
classwork is 20% of the grade
quarterly test is 5%
and quizzes are 35%
Momma said I need a C in calc to not get the spankings. Please help
Even in Donald Trump's America, Roger remains our savior during these hard times
What
Roger go away
Roger: Bye bye
I had a 58 in a class I took a final exam and got an 98 if i had an 83 for a grade last six weeks will i still be able to pass for the trimester ?
Roger: What are the requirements to pass your course? How much is your final exam worth?
I got a 40% on a test but then I got a 81% on a test what is my grade and also have a 98% in homework what is my grade
Roger: It depends on how much your tests are worth, compared to your homework.
need an 88 on my stats final to get an A...I should be fine
I am almost failing every class. I'm a junior in high school who takes 7 classes. 2 of my classes are art which I have an A in both of them. My math average right now is a 83.
You would need at least a 101.1% on your last test to have a 90% average in your test category
I want a 92 in my AP World History class but right now I have an 87. So far, I have taken three tests that are worth 45% of my grade. My test average is an 86.3. I have only have one more test to take and I'm wondering what I should get on that test to raise it to a 90 or higher.
If you actually do have empty categories in your grade, then these answers will be overestimates.
what is the range of numbers for a b- in class
Roger: Grading boundaries are usually decided independently by the instructor. Try asking a classmate or ask your instructor directly.
Hey Roger, I upset my friend a lot because of my paranoia(long story). Anyways, she has a 95 in math and recently got an 84 on a quiz(25% of her grade). She's stressing about it, what will her grade change to? I want to tell her she has nothing to worry about. Thanks
Roger: The answer depends on (1) how many quizzes she’s taken so far, (2) her current quiz average, and (3) whether there are any empty categories in her grade, like a “Participation” category that has no score assigned. Do you happen to know those 3 things?
You will need 116% on the test if it was like that. sorry. =:(
Hi Rodger,
How do I get my grade up 13 percent in two classes? In one class I have 76.59% we have one test left and its 90 percent and I need at least a 90 in the class. Our final is 15 percent of the grade. On the other hand, I have a 77.05%. the only thing is in this class I have two more tests both 60 percent of my grade. My final is still 15 percent.
Please respond as soon as possible thanks
Roger: How can you have a 90% test category and a 15% final exam category? Those two alone would add up to more than 100%. Anyway, the answer depends on how many tests you’ve taken so far and your current test average in each of the courses.
Hu akbar
hello
I'm taking 3 course at this moment and the percent of each course is 65,62 and 63, and I want to get 85% average overall so how many percent should I get in each course on the end, :)
Roger: Well, if you get an 85% in each course, then your average will be an 85%. Is that what you were looking for?
Appearently colleges dont take into account weighted gpa so thats the end of my school career
