Hey so I failed my second Stats exam. I want to see what I need for the next exam to get atleast a B- in the class. Grading is as follows:
Exam 1: 20% (got a 78)
Exam 2: 20% (got a 58)
Exam 3: 20% ( Don't know what I need.)
Final: 10% (Don't know what I need.)
Online Assignmemts: 10% (I'm getting full credit)
Labs: 20% (Based on 3 exams. I got a 56 on the first one. 2 left)
B- starts at an 80.0 and goes up from there. What do I need to get on the following two exams to atleast get a B- for the course?

On the assignments, I got 143/154; on quizzes, I got 55.55/57; on modules, I got 79/85; on the midterm I got 57.5/57.5; on the final I got 65/65. Hope you can calculate what I need to get on the paper in order to keep my A!

My grade in one of my classes is currently a 79.6%. My individual grades in this class as of right now are as shown below:

1. 92% (lab)
2. 92% (lab)
3. 79% (test)
4. 100% (lab)

Labs count for 28% of our grade, and tests count for 70%. The remaining 2% is a study hall grade (you must attend 2 to get a 100% for that grade).

The Final Exam (not yet taken) is worth 30% of the grade.

How do I determine what I need on the final to receive an A in the course?

I currently have an 84.03% in math. I have two assignments left which I know I will have 100%s on. I also have a quiz (good chance of 100%) and two tests. I need to know if it's possible to raise my overall score to 90% ( if I can with my remaining assignments/tests/quiz I can be exempt from taking the final exam). I have 91.64 pts out of 96 total for homework, 115.91 pts out of 120 total for quizzes, and 727.68 pts out of 650 for tests. Total points available for all three are 866. Is it possible to raise my grade to a 90% and if so, what would I need to get on my 2 assignment, 1 quiz, and 2 test? According to my class syllabus, quizzes are 120pts total tests are 500, homework is 96 and final exam is 150 for a total of 866 so I'm not sure how this works. Thank you!

in my math class i have a 85 and i want to keep a 80 or a higher grade and i got a test coming up. my test average is a 79 percent i think and tests in my school are worth 20 percent of your grade. In my other class i have a 83.3 i also got a test coming up what do i need to get on my test to keep 80 or higher. Plus i get 10 extra credit points on the test. Roger: It depends on (1) whether you have any empty categories in your grade, like a “Final Exam” category that has no score yet, and (2) how many tests you’ve taken so far. I also need to know your test average for your 2nd class.

I have a 90% in the class but in order to get credit for the class I have to get a 60% on the final, which consists of 80 multiple choice and 4 essay questions worth 5 points each. How many of each question (multiple and essay) will i have to get correct in order to get a 60% or better?

Roger: Is there any partial credit for your essay questions? For example, you could get 15 out of 20 points on your essay questions and 45 out of 80 multiple choice questions and that would add up to an 60%.

I have a 41 in algebra and this final is yes worth 30 percent (on its own) of my grade. I so want a 100 on the final. If I get 100 on the final,what will my new overall grade be now also interpreting a quiz worth 10 percent of the grade that I got a 75 on. Yes it was worth 10 percent on its own.

Hi roger! I have a 77.72% and I want a 80% in class. I have 3 tests left each accounting for 30 percent of 80 percent of the grade. I have a final that is worth 20% of the grade, how do I achieve this?

Roger: You’ll need to average at least a 82.9% on your remaining 3 tests and your final exam to get a 80% overall. If you type in “77.72%”, “80%”, and “44%” into the Final Grade Calculator, you should get the same answer. The “44%” comes from 30% of your 80% test grade, which is equivalent to 24%, plus your 20% final exam (24% + 20% = 44%).

I have a 40 in math, taken 3 tests and have one more to take. Then, the final (worth 15 percent on its own) will replace my lowest grade which is a 27. I also have a project worth 10 percent. Can I still manage to get at least a 60 in the class?

Roger: It depends on how much your tests are worth, as a percentage of your entire grade.

Roger: You need to score at least a 38%, not 39% (did you make a typo?). Try putting .78 × (1 - 0.2) + .38 × 0.2 into a calculator. You should get 0.7, which is 70%. If you’re curious about that formula, then check out this handy sheet of formulas for this calculator.
