Roger: It sounds like you meant to say that your “tests” category is worth 40% of your grade, as opposed to your test being worth 40% of your grade by itself. In that case, the answer depends on (1) how many tests you’ve taken so far, (2) your current test average, and (3) whether you have any empty categories in your grade, like a “participation” category that has no score yet.
