Hello, my name is Terrance and my family thinks I'm mentally disabled. It all started when I got a fidget spinner, my family bought me a wheelchair and now I have to take the "special kid" bus and classes. I told them I'm fine and all they say is "hes trying to communicate!" I'm perfectly capable of everything but they insist on getting me dressed and cleaning my ass and feeding me... my boss and teachers treat me like I'm 5. I'm going to university soon and nobody is taking me seriously...

Hi Roger,
I only have a few weeks left of school, and Im a bit behind in a class and want to complete as much as possible. In doing this, I want to skip over a project and return to it once i have completed the rest of the course. Currently, I have an 89% in my World History class. I am willing to sacrifice my grade a little bit, if it means I can finish, so long as i have a passing grade (over 60%). There are 5 categories in this class, Tests 40%, Projects 40%, Checks 5%, Discussions 10%, and an ungraded portion of Participation, worth 5%. The project I plan to skip over is worth 30% (Im assuming it is 30 of the 40% Project portion, not 30% of my whole grade) If my current Project average is 80, and I submit this and receive a zero, will I still be passing? I still have one project after this one, the last one of the year, worth 35%. Will I be able to pass? Before or after I get to the last one?

Roger: If you get a zero on your project, your project category average should drop from a 80.0% to a 43.1%. That would cause your overall grade to drop by 15.5% to a 73.5%. If you get 100% on your participation category and 80% on your last project, then your grade should go back up to a 79.95%. Does that help?
