Hi.. I got a 78 in an exam worth 35% of my grade. There is 1 more exam in this class worth 35%. One in class assignment worth 10% is due and the Final worth's 20%. I need a 76.5% to pass the class. Could you please help me determine how much do I need to score in all the upcoming Exam, assignment and Final.. in order to pass the class?..Thanks in advance.
Roger: It depends on how many exams and “in class assignments” you’ve completed so far, as well as what you scored on them. Also, is each of your exams and “in class assignments” worth an equal fraction of their respective categories?

Hey, so I am in AP chem right now, I have a 65. I have the final which is worth 50%, I took a midterm that was also in that category. Does that mean my final is still worth 50%? Or would it be 25%?
Roger: It sounds like your final and midterm share a category (”exams”) that’s worth 50% of your grade. It’s possible that your midterm and final are each worth 25% of your overall grade, but that’s not necessarily true. You’ll need to ask your instructor whether your midterm and final are each worth half of the 50% category.

Hello! I have all As in my classes, but I want to raise my geometry grade from a 93 to a 95, at least. I have a 100% in homework grades, counting as 40% and an 87.67 average in major grades, that go into a category worth 60%. I got a test back today that I got a 94 on, and it's being put into the major grades category. What will by grade be once my teacher puts it into the grade book? If not a 95, what grade will I have to get on the next test to get there?
Roger: How many other major grades have you received so far? Are they all tests? Or are there other types of scores that count as “major grades”? Is each of your tests worth the same fraction of your “major grades” category?

I need a break from life and want to come back and have all my problems solved. I want my stupid classmates to stop being bipolar and only caring about themselves. I want my grades to shoot up and my classes to be less boring. I want to not have to pay for a stupid new case-less iPad that fell out of my classmate's iPad and cracked. She should have had a case on it—not that it wasn't my fault it broke.

I need help. I have 3 tests to take before the end of the quarter that are worth 70% of my grade. Each calculator I have used is saying something different!!! On my first test I scored a 44/50 or 88%, on my second I scored a 102/100 or 102%. I have to take my final test of the quarter in two days, this Thursday, what do I need to get on it to get an A! My current grade, with both test I have taken included, is a 98%. HELP PLEASE
Roger: Well, your current test average should be a 95.0%. If you want to keep your overall grade above a 90.0%, then you’ll need to make sure your test average drops no lower than a 83.6% (assuming the remaining 30% of your grade remains unchanged). If each of your 3 tests is worth a third of your “tests” category, then you’ll need to score at least a 60.7% on it to get an A.

I got an 82 currently and my lowest test grade is dropped. I've taken 10 tests, they count 50% of my grade and all my tests combined get 77. But my lowest test is a 25 because the teacher never gave me the last page of the test. Now I just want to know what I want on my final to get an 86 for the semester. (last semester was an 85 and I want to improve). My final counts as 2 tests. Just please if I don't get my goal my parents are gonna spank me.
Roger: Once your lowest test grade is dropped, your overall grade should go up to a 84.9%. Then, you’ll need to score at least a 95.0% on your final to raise your overall grade to an 86.0%.

I have a 97% in a class and I received a 73% on a quiz. I have a 93.02% in assessment grades, 100% in classwork grades, and 40/40 on my homework grade. All together assessments are worth 40%, classwork are worth 40% and homework is 20% what is my average grade in that class?
Roger: Should I assume that your “97%” overall grade doesn’t include your “73%” quiz grade? In any case, the answer depends on how much your quiz is worth, as a percentage of your total “assessment grades” category.

I got a 69% on the first exam and I have had 4 homework assignments and I got 100% on all four. How do you calculate what I have currently and what do I have currently?

Roger: Two steps: (1) figure out why you’re not scoring 100% on every assignment and exam, (2) work on those issues until you consistently score 100%. Reviewing past exams (either your own or exams from previous terms) is a great place to start. Given the same curriculum, there are only so many questions that can be asked.

To have chosen to become a member of a prestigious high school is probably the worst mistake of my life; never before have I fallen so far below to the point of choking on my own tears as I hold a knife up to my dog's heart, wishing I had only stayed in a regular high school, one in which I could have had all A's and have the ability to enrol and be accepted into any college. But no, I had to enter the hardest school nearby, and I had to accept their invitation. Stacks upon stacks upon stacks of thesis statements; a whole ocean of quizzes and tests; a deadly amount of 0s radiated. Whether I live through this or die mentally is obvious: I shall die.

Hello:) I wanted to know if i have a 96% in my chemistry class but got a 64% on the only test we have taken so far and test are worth 20% towards my grade how many points will taken off my 96% and what grade will i be left with? thank you !!!!
Roger: The exact answer depends on whether you have any empty categories in your grade. For example, if your “96%” overall grade represents 40% of all the categories in your grade, then your overall grade should drop to a 85.3%. But if your “96%” overall grade represents 80% of all the categories in your grade, then your overall grade should drop to a 89.6%.

I currently have a 60.19 in a class. I scored a 61.25 on my first and second test. I scored a 48.44 on my third test and still have two more tests to take. The tests are worth 50 percent of my grade. My lab average which is 35 percent of my grade is 57.14 currently. I have a 62 average for my quizzes which is 10 percent and my homework has a average of 93 which is 5 percent. Is it possible for me to get a 70? And if so what scores would I have to have on the next two tests.
Roger: Your current overall grade should be a 59.3%. You’ll need to average at least a 110.3% on your next 2 tests to raise your overall grade to a 70.0%. By the way, check out the calculator mode labeled “I need something else”. It should be able to answer your question.

Stacks upon stacks upon stacks of thesis statements; a whole ocean of quizzes and tests; a deadly amount of 0s radiated. Whether I live through this or die mentally is obvious: I shall die.
HELP ME
hi can I have a prayer real quick... my grades aren't bad but they're all borderline and I would greatly appreciate some love from my fellow smart pupils ;)
Also Rodger, i was thinking of picking clown career as a major, or client worker major? My Brother/Husband said I should do clown because you get paid more at children's parties, is that true? Also I have a 4.0 guys, choke on that!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Roger: Do clowns even go to college?
God people have shit grades
okay so i currently have a B 85% in my chemistry class but i know for a fact i got an F on it.. what will be my final grade?
Roger: You got an F on what?
hey someone date me.. thanks bye :)
i have a 92 right know i took a benchmark which counts as to test grades whats my grade right know
Roger: How many tests have you taken so far? And what did you score on them? How much are your tests worth? What are the other categories in your grade?
Please, need a solution for this. Actual: 50%. Average this with 100% for a final grade of 75%.
Hi, I currently have a C of 73% in my math class, but I'm going to give an assignment in which I got a 100%. What grade would I have now?
Roger: It depends on how much your assignment is worth.
It should be able to answer your question.
heyy i 78 my bio class as midterm mark and so far i fail two quiz
