Roger, can you help me calculate my current Physics grade? I'm unsure how to do it without knowing how many more assignments I have left, but maybe you can still figure out what I have in the class at the moment.
All my labs, quizzes, and homeworks are out of 10 points.
My graded categories follow as:
(15%) Homework - 63.62 / 70.00
(15%) Quizzes - 58.25 / 66.00
(20%) Labs - 71.6 / 80.0
(30%) Midterms - 16.0 / 60.0 --- Still have one more
(20%) Final Exam - Not Taken
Roger, please calculate my current grade for me! I tried to make it as easy as possible for you. Thank you!
Roger: Your current overall grade should be a 66.0%. How many midterms have you taken so far? Assuming you’ve taken only 1 midterm so far (so you’d have a total of 2 midterms), you’ll need to average at least a 89.2% on your 2nd midterm and your final exam to raise your overall grade to an 80.0%. By the way, it’s a bit strange that you have 66 points in your “quizzes” category if each quiz is worth 10 points.

If my class average is a 92.1 and i receive a 0 on an assignment that is 15% of my overall grade...what will my grade be?
Roger: Is your assignment worth 15% of your grade by itself? Or is it part of a category, along with other assignments, that’s altogether worth 15% of your grade? Also, what are the other categories in your grade?

If I have 59% in my first semester and supposedly I get at least 89% in my second semester and this counts for 80% of my grade.
And my finals count 20%- And I get an 85%
What is my overall grade
Roger: Your overall grade should be a 76.2%.

I currently have a 45.5% in a class and need 50% to pass just wondering my exam is worth 30% o my final grade and was wondering how many marks in the exam I would need to get to pass. exam is out of 70 questions but each question is not worth a full mark there are some half marks
Roger: You’ll need to score at least a 60.5% on your exam to raise your overall grade to a 50.0%. That’s approximately 42 out of 70, but that probably isn’t too useful if some of your exam questions are worth more than others.

Hey I currently have a 67 in my Bio course. my Unit tests are worth 70% of my grade and so far I took 2/4. My assignments/labs/quizzes are all in the same category and are worth 30% of my overall grade. I'm wondering if there is still a chance for me to get above 80 by the end of the semester which is in mid January.
Roger: What did you score on your two unit tests? And what is your current average grade in your “assignments/labs/quizzes” category? How many assignments/labs/quizzes do you have left? And how much are they worth, as a percentage of your 30% “assignments/labs/quizzes” category? It sounds like you’re approximately halfway done with the semester, so raising your overall grade from a 67.0% to an 80.0% would probably require nearly perfect scores on all your remaining tests and assignments.

I got 5 quizs each worth 2% each and i have 8% of 10
i had a quiz worth 20% where i recieved a 36%
a second quiz that is worth 20% which i have not done yet
and a final exam worth 48%
is it possible for me to pass the course?
and if i were to recieve a 70% on the next test worth 20% wht would my mark be
Roger: Your categories only add up to 98%. What is the other 2% made of? I’ll assume that you meant “8 out of 10”, not “8% of 10” (which is 0.8 out of 10). I’ll also assume that your “second quiz” and “next test” refer to the same thing. In that case, your current overall grade is a 50.7% and if you score a 70% on the next test, your overall grade should go up to a 58.4%.

So, I have a Physical Science test that is worth 4.38% of my grade individually, but my test category of the class is worth 35% as a whole. If I have an average of 82.78% now, what do I have to make to keep at least an 80% in the class?
Roger: Is your test the only remaining thing to be included in your grade? Or do you have other assignments as well? The exact answer probably depends on your current test average, but it’s likely that your overall grade won’t fall below an 80% regardless of what you score on your test, within reason.

Roger: It depends on how much of your coursework you’ve completed so far. Quick question.
I have two slots of assignments. A discussion portion worth 20% of my grade, and quizzes worth 20% of my grade.
My assignments are 60% of my grade.
I am currently at about 25% in the course. What would I need on the other two assignments to pull my grade up to 55%?
Roger: How many other assignments have you completed so far? Are they each worth an equal fraction of your “assignments” category? Is your current overall grade really 25 out of 100?

Hi, so I suck at math so if I have an 85.8 in my class and took a test that is 10% of my grade what is the lowest I can get in my test but still keep a b in my class (83.0)?
Roger: It depends on how much of your coursework you’ve completed so far. For example, if your “85.8%” overall grade represents 60% of your coursework, then you would have needed to score at least a 66.2% on your test to keep your overall grade above a 83.0%.
