My grade in the class is 50.18%. I have gotten 54/120, 48/120, ?/120 we still havent taken it. Each exam is worth 17% of our grade. I need at least a 70% to pass the class. The final exam is worth 20% of our final grade. What grade do i have to get or at least on the third exam and final exam to pass with at least a 70%.

I have a 84% in tests which is 50% of the final grade. I have a 88% in HW which is 25% of the final grade. I have a 100% in computer which is 15% of the final grade, and I have a 93% in class participation which is 10% of the grade. What is my final grade?

I currently have a 99.9% and want to get a 100% but my final is worth only 15% and I would have to get a 100.6% on my final to do so. What do you think I should do? Should I ask my teacher for extra credit? He doesn't round at all that is the problem. If I don't get hundred i won't be able to go to top college and will be homeless. Please help!

Roger: Are you saying that your “43%” overall grade only represents 15% of your total coursework? That sounds somewhat suspicious, but in that case, you’ll need to average at least 51.2% on your remaining 4 tests and your exam to raise your overall grade to a 50.0%.

If I have a 74 right now and i have a group project which is worth 20% and an exam that is 20% am I at risk of failing the class?

One is out of 12 points and the other one is out of 15 points. I usually get 90%-100% on homework assignments. If I get 100% on both assignments will that raise my grade to at least an 80%? I am trying to figure out what my teacher is doing on his grading scale. We have 12 assignments worth 20 points each. 12 X 20 = 240. We have 3 quizzes worth 50 points each and one final worth 100 points. 50 + 50+ 50 + 100 = 250. Our final grade, the assignments are only worth 100 points total, while the quizzes remain the same. The total points for the ending grade is 350. Why are the assignments scores cut so dramatically but the quizzes remain the same? I asked him and he told me I am doing fine and to try my hardest. We have one 20 point assignment left, one 50 point quiz left and the 100 point final left. I have an 86.95% in the class at this time. I need at least a 73% to pass the class.

I am freaking out because it appears the quizzes and final together are worth 75% of our grade. This is a stats class and we only get 1.5 hours to take the quizzes which is where I struggle because I need time to think. If I get about the same as I did on the last two quizzes, will I pass the class? His grading confuses me.

Then, you’ll need to average at least a 61.5% on your 12th assignment, 3rd quiz, and final exam to get a 73.0% overall. If you get 20/20 on your 12th assignment, then you’ll need to average at least a 59.3% on your 3rd quiz and final exam to get a 73.0% overall. Hope this helps!

I currently have an 87.79 in precalc and we have one test and a final left. My grade is an 86.71 in the test portion (90% of final grade) and a 97.58 in the homework portion (10% of final grade). Our final is 10% of our grade. What grade do I need to get on this last test and the final to get a 90% in the class overall?

Roger: The answer depends on how many tests you’ve taken so far. Also, try out the calculator mode labeled “I need something else”. It should be able to answer your question. (And it sounds like your tests are actually worth 81% of your overall grade whereas your homework is worth 9%. Is that right?)
