Hello Roger ,
I would appreciate your help on this problem I have.
My Semester contains 3 cycle grades
1st cycle my grade was 81% of 100%
2nd cycle my grade was 87% of 100%
3rd cycle my grade was 90% of 100%
What grade would I need to pass with a 70% on my end of the semester exam ?
Semester exam counts as 25% of entire grade
- thank you
Roger: You’ll need to score at least 22% on your “end of the semester exam” to get a 70% overall.

hi Roger, hope you’re having a good day. currently my algebra grade is a 100%. TESTS: 50% of the grade. QUIZES: 30% of the grade. HW: 20% of the grade. i have two tests completed with 100% on one, with a 95% on the other. i have three quizes completed, all with a 100%. i have 10 homework grades completed, all 100%. (so 15 grades total). recently i flunked a quiz. IF i were to get a 0% on that quiz, which would be my 16th grade, what would my overall final grade be? hope this isn’t too confusing. thank you, chloe
Roger: If you got a 95% on one of your tests, how can your overall grade by 100%? Anyway, if you score 0% on your 4th quiz, then your overall grade should drop from a 98.8% to a 91.3%.

Hi Roger. Okay so...
I am trying to find out something about my grade (obviously). I need to get an average of an A for this year in Algebra 2 (an A is a 90%, technically 89.5%), the average is determined from the two final semester grades. For the first semester, I made a 91.97%. Right now, for the second semester, I have an 89.72%. I still need to take the final, and that will be the only new grade before it is finalized. It is worth 15%. What is the lowest percentage I can possibly get on the final, and still average an A for the year?
(sorry if this is super obvious and I am wasting your time)
Thanks.
Roger: Well, the average of 91.97% and 89.72% is about 90.85%. So, you’ll need to score at least 81.9% on your final to get a 89.5% overall.

I have a 73.94 in math currently. If I get a 50 on my math test, what will my grade drop to? (Test is worth 75% of my grade)
Roger: The answer depends on how many tests you’ve taken so far and what you scored on them. Also, what’s the remaining 25% of your grade made of? Try out the calculator mode labeled “I need something else”. It may be able to help.

What do you think?
Roger: You’re not the first to ask about this. In fact, RogerHub had comment replies briefly, a long time ago. I have a couple concerns about user interface (mobile scrolling through pages that have too many touch targets is hard) and technical implementation, but my primary concern is that comment replies opens up the door to harassment. It’s currently quite hard to keep up a conversation via RogerHub comments, due to the rate limiting and the fact that your replies get drowned out by the constant noise of other comments. This is very much intentional. I’ve tried to avoid providing any mechanism for visitors to send feedback directly toward any other visitor, because I think it dramatically undercuts both volume and abuse. There are plenty of other places on the internet that offer comment replies (for example, <insert the name of every social network here>). I don’t feel the need to become yet another one. After all, RogerHub is just a blog. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion and let me know if you have any questions.

Hey, please email me back when you can! (Asap)
I have a 91.6 in my english class.
We have 3 things left:
Participation 10 percent (should get all 10 I'd think)
Research journal 5 percent (I got a 98 percent but it isn't in the grade book yet)
Then our final coming up worth 25 percent.
With the roughly 15 percent in the grade book what would that make my 91.6?
After that final grade added, what do I need to get on my 25 percent final to still have an a. I'm holding a 4.0 so it's really important to me!
Thanks so much!
Roger: Once your participation grade and your research journal grade are included, your overall grade should go up to a 93.1%. You’ll need to score at least 80.6% on your final exam to get a 90.0% overall.

My course offers only 3 grades a midterm, a final and term paper. I made a 65 on my midterm. Is there any way to come out of this class with a B. What does my scores need to be to get a B if possible or a C.
Roger: It depends on how much your midterm is worth, compared to your final and term paper. For example, if each is one-third of your overall grade, then you’ll need to average at least a 87.5% on your final and your term paper to raise your overall grade to an 80.0%.

Hey quick question
My course offers only 3 grades a midterm, a final and term paper. I made a 65 on my midterm. Is there any way to come out of this class with a B. What does my scores need to be to get a B if possible or a C.
Roger: It depends on how much your midterm is worth, compared to your final and term paper. For example, if each is one-third of your overall grade, then you’ll need to average at least a 87.5% on your final and your term paper to raise your overall grade to an 80.0%.
Hi Roger. I recently made a 70% on my paper and it’s worth 7.5% of my grade. I had about a 90 in the class what do you think my grade is? Or do you think it will affect my grade by a lot?
Roger: It depends on how much of your coursework you’ve completed so far. For example, if your “90%” overall grade represents 60% of your total coursework, your overall grade should drop to a 87.8%.
Hi roger,
I was just wondering, I am having some problems focusing and having motivation to study, so what tools did you use to become this successful while keeping motivation?
Roger: I’m not in any kind of position to give advice about that. I have trouble motivating myself all the time. My strategy so far has just been to work though problems systematically: spend time identifying individual problems and make a list of concrete steps you can do to improve the situation.
Roger, can you play my custom 2048 game? It has memes in it. I want this to become EXTREMELY popular.
Roger: Sure
What will gen points affect my 84.87 grade in the class
Labs count for 15% of your class score. If your Lab average is 93/100, how many points did you earn towards your total class score?
Roger: Well, 15% of 93 is 13.95. Is that what you were asking for?
If I have a 74 in my class atm and I make an 80 on the 6 weeks exam what do I now have in this class?
hey so its valentines day tomorrow!!! <3 will u be my valentine ???? i luv math just like u :)
Roger: Sure.
Why dont you have adds. You page gets mad hits
Same person under, but i also forgot to mention. Is it even possible for me to fail if I even do the tests and try? Im guessing I'm not getting below a 50%
Roger: Sounds like you’re sure to pass then.
I have a 64%. I want at least a 50%. Final exam is split into 2 parts. Each worth 15% so basically final is 30%. What do i need to get on the final to have at least a 50% in the class. Let me know please
Roger: You’ll need to average at least a 17.3% on the two parts of your final to get a 50.0% overall.
I currently have a 75% in a subject and I got 79% on the exam, my exam is worth 20-30%, what’s my approximate final grade and what is the highest grade that I score with this given? Because I want an 80% at most.
Roger: Your overall grade should be between a 75.8% and a 76.2%.
If i have a 45 in my class and get a 78% on an exam worth 42% what will my grade be now?
I currently have a 51% in my class and my exam counts as 20% of my mark. How much do I need to score on my exam to pass my course?
Roger: It depends on the minimum overall grade required to pass.
Hi roger, i hace a 58.2 in my class but i need a 50 so what do i need to get on the exam my exam is 30%
Roger: You’ll need to score at least 30.9% on your final to get a 50.0% overall.
