I have 80 average in English but I didnt do an assignment. Which is zero and 40% of my grade. What will be my Final average grade

Roger: Is your assignment worth 40% of your grade by itself? Or is it part of a category that’s altogether worth 40% of your grade?

I earned a 33.71% only test... it took my grade down to a 77.45% both quarters are worth 40%and final is 20%. Is there any way I could get my grade to a B or an A?????

Roger: Is “77.45%” your final grade for your first quarter? In that case, you’ll need to average at least a 81.7% on your 2nd quarter and your final exam to raise your grade to an 80.0%. If you want a 90.0% instead, then you’ll need to average at least a 98.4% on your 2nd quarter and final exam. Hope this helps!

its great.. really helped me.. it make the grade seem a lot less far fetched then it actually is. i have a 100% in my english class and I have a test that is worth 60% of my overall semester grade and i really want a 90% (A) in the class.. so all i need to get is an 83%..

Roger: That sounds odd. Are you sure that your test is worth 60% of your class grade by itself? Or is it part of a “tests” category that’s altogether worth 60% of your grade?

Help please!
i did really poorly on my previous test and I have an 55% in the class
each test is worth 60 % of our grade and we have 4 tests

what do i have to get on my test to bring it up to a passing grade?
Id like to know before I drop the class

Roger: How many tests have you taken so far? And what did you score on them? Also, do you have any empty categories in your grade? (For example, a “participation” category that has no score yet.) Try out the calculator mode labeled “I need something else”. It should be able to answer your question.

I have a 98 in a class and an assignment cost 10% of my grade. What will my grade now be if it goes down and the assignment does not get finished?

Roger: It depends on how much of your coursework you’ve completed so far. For example, if your “98%” overall grade represents 60% of your total coursework, then scoring 0% on an assignment worth 10% should bring your overall grade down to a 84.0%.

Hey roger I'm back again with one more riddle, this time its much harder. Figure out the following below:
I turn polar bears white
and I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee
and girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid
and normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown
and make your champane bubble.
If you sqeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop.
Can you guess the riddle????

Roger: Diffraction and depression? Hormones? Hygiene? Bad lighting... and good lighting. The Malliard reaction? Carbonation? Bubbles? And ... I don’t know.

Hey, it’s me, again. I really don’t know how much an A- is worth (and why they would do that) because they didn’t start doing this until last year. I asked one of my teachers about it, and she said they don’t really have much information on how it works. I guess your GPA is reduced by 0.041 for every A- you have??? I don’t know....

Roger: I think the most likely explanation is that an A- is worth 3.667 points and a B+ is worth 3.333 points. In that case, 7 A grades and 1 A- grade would give you a GPA of 3.9583, which rounds up to 3.959. Does that help?

so..i´ve read the comments and this should really be the easiest question. i have a 100 in the class. my tests (which are majors) are worth 20% of my grade. i just took one and made a 50. what is my grade?

Roger: What are the other categories in your grade? Have you taken any other tests aside from the one you just took? If so, what did you score on them? Is there anything besides tests in your “majors” category?

My test is worth 200 points and I have a 70.2% over all. What grade will I need on this test to get a 90% overall?

Roger: It depends on how many points you have total.

If I have a 86, and I make a 0 on an exam which is worth 20% of my grade, what would my average be then?

Roger: It depends on how much of your coursework you’ve completed so far. For example, if your “86%” overall grade represents 45% of your overall grade, then scoring 0% on your exam should lower your overall grade to a 59.5%.

I have a 97 as a grade. I have 6 categories: Quizzes 25% with a score of 97, Checks 5% with score of 97, and four empty categories: Test 35%, Projects 15%, Oral Assessments 15%, Participation 5%. My first project (15%) is coming up.It is worth 47% of that 15% overall, which I believe is just above 7% of my overall score. If I receive a zero on the very first project grade, what will my 97 drop to?

Roger: Even though your first project is only worth 47% of your “projects” category, I’m going to assume that it’ll represent the entire projects category when included in your overall grade (which effectively gives you a 0% project category average). In that case, your overall grade should drop to a 64.7%.

I currently have a 97.15 in one of my classes. The end of the year final is coming up and I want to know what I would have to make on the final to pass with a atleast a 90 in the class. My final is worth 14%.

Roger: You’ll need to score at least a 46.1% on your final to get a 90.0% overall.

Hi, I currently have an 86% B in my Algebra class and the end of the nine weeks is next week. I would like to keep my B, I think I failed my Algebra test last week, how bad will it affect my grade. It is worth a 100 point test grade.

Roger: How many other tests have you taken? What did you score on them? Are they also worth 100 points each? And do you have any empty categories in your grade? (For example, a “final exam” category that has no score yet.)

My grade right now is 96%

test grade is worth 45% of my grade and i have 93.75% in that category
labs grade is worth 25% and i have 100% in that category
homework grade is worth 10% and i have 100%in that category
final is worth 20% and there is no grade inputted in that category yet

assuming that the final is not going to be taken + put into the gradebook for awhile, what will my grade be if i got a 4/7 on a test??

Roger: The answer depends on how many tests you’ve taken so far. Also, is each one of your tests worth an equal fraction of your “tests” category?

The class is 10% hw, 30% mid term 1, 30% mid term 2, and 30% final I got a 52 percent (D-) on the first midterm how can I still get a B in the class. my average on the HW is a 90% btw.

Roger: Your current overall grade should be a 61.5%. You’ll need to average at least a 92.3% on your “mid term 2” and your final to raise your overall grade to an 80.0%. (I assumed that the minimum overall grade for a B is 80.0%.)

Roger: Do you have any empty categories in your grade? (For example, a “participation” category that has no score yet.) I’ll assume not. In that case, your overall grade should drop to a 82.5%.

Roger: What does “(100, 88)” mean? The average of 88%, 93%, 100%, 94%, 95%, 100%, and 100% is 95.7%. Is that what you were asking for?

This sucks more than anything else has ever sucked. I am taking an honors economics class in Spanish as a highschool sophomore because I am in a Spanish immersion program. My grade is absolutely horrible, and the worst part is I study everyday so much, and I always fail everything. I watched so many videos on YouTube this past weekend. I have never been more scared. I love this program and the people in it more than anything.

My Gpa is a 1.8 and im so torn up about it. me only being a sophmore, is it possible for me to raise it to a 3.5 by the time i graduate? If so what type of grades would i have to make??

Roger: Assuming that you’ve completed one-fourth of all your high school courses so far, you could raise your overall GPA to a 3.45 by getting all A grades in your remaining classes.

Note: 8 courses are worth 1 credit for each full course. 0.5 per semester (2 semesters). You are allowed to take half credit courses each semester (that means the maximum amount of courses per year is 16)

Hey, do you have a GPA calculator for A minuses and stuff like that? For example, at my school we take 8 courses per year. Having all As, and an A- reduces your GPA from 4.0 to 3.959(they are so fucking petty).
Grading scale: A, A-, B+, B, B-, etc.

Roger: I’ve never heard of that kind of GPA scale. How many points is an A- worth then? At many US colleges, it’s worth 3.7 points, but that doesn’t seem to match your example.
